Do You Stop Short of God Faith?

Brad Cullen

How Do You Know if You Are Stopping Short?

I awakened this morning to find three requests for prayer in my e-mail …requests which reveal the un/sub-conscious religious mindsets of all three. All three people have more faith than most …in that they, at least, are casting about for help from their brothers and sisters for more prayer. Whereas most folks just walk away sadly with their situation firmly strapped to their backs.

However, with these three, I want to scream simply because they are so close and yet so far. All three have a measure of faith …I had to stop here and say to SPIRIT-PARENT, with the name I use:

“Oh Daddy, this sounds so arrogant, who am I to be judging who has faith and of what measure?”

I am hearing His firm response: Write it!

“You are not judging for I have given it to you to say. Whether they have ears to hear it is not for you to decide, it is their choice. This is the time to speak it to these.”

While each of the three displays a doctrinal bent, again, either subconsciously or unconsciously, and I am given to know what that bent is, with spiritual discernment, not by experience, I must add …that on the one hand, I feel honored (ego on my part) to be included in the list of folks each of the three requested to pray; because I tend to respect the level of faith each has demonstrated in the past …this time, however, each of them has stopped short. How many times have I done the same thing? A question that reveals my confession of being a brother and nothing more …though one of these has leveled the charge against me recently that I am “full of myself,” and from one perspective he was correct.

Are You Stopping Short? Ask Source.

The following will, seem brazen and arrogant, but I am instructed to offer it to all three and anyone else that happens to be reading this. Can you imagine Jesus asking his disciples to pray for him? Don’t get riled up, just spend a moment letting the question penetrate, for it reveals a part of your religious predisposition that needs to be replaced if you intend, that is, are purposed, to walk in the destiny Jesus declared was available to anyone who believes enough.

Another confession (from me) is due here: I have done the same thing many times and now see the folly of it, fully. When we walk in the faith Jesus said for us to get and use, “God-faith,” it is silly to ask anyone else to pray for us …this isn’t arrogance it is plain truth. If you cannot imagine Jesus asking Peter to pray for him over an issue, you had best begin to understand that when you are walking in God-faith you won’t be making the request of others either.

Quit stopping short! This exhortation is for me as well. Our SPIRIT-PARENT is saying, go to Him/Her/It until you know you have wisdom directly from the SOURCE.

In Freedom,

Brad
