In The Beginning (30)
TWENTY
Dinner was a huge success. The owner happened to be there and took us personally to our table on the deck overlooking the little inlet (and yes, later we did see a huge manta ray, very gentle and no stinger the owner had assured us earlier) and Walt graciously did the introductions.
The owner insisted upon bringing out the chef who told us about the fresh catch of ahi (a Hawaiian word for yellow-fin tuna) which to my surprise tasted more like steak than fish …he told us how it should be prepared “sst on one side and flip it over and sst on the other …must be very rare, or please …order something else” …we ended up with a specially prepared feast, over which the chef personally presided. Walt told us he was from the small kingdom of Monaco, of Princess Grace Kelly fame, and had been head chef of two of the most famous hotels there.
More than anything else, however, what compelled us was the continuation of the conversation that had been started shortly after we sat down to share the wine earlier. I had asked Brad if he had ever heard Jack Adams talk about Chaos Theory or the Uncertainty Principle he said that Jack and Colin had quite a theory about both.
“As you probably remember in the first novel,” he told everyone around the table, “Colin has an almost encyclopedic knowledge about a variety of scientific topics.”
“May I interrupt for a second, Brad?” Jeff asked. What about that stuff that Colin talked about related to thought travel; and did Vic Schneider really have that teleporting experience of going to that place out in St. Louis?”
“Oh yes, it was just in the Baltimore area and of course the names of the people were all changed …I didn’t remember their real names anyway. I’m glad you interrupted because that reminds me of how Jack Adams explained it from a scientific view …he has a real knack for explaining some 4th dimensional stuff in layman’s terms …Elizabeth Patrick, Emannuel’s wife, for all her faith and rather extraordinary spiritual experiences, sometimes she can be a bit disbelieving …Vic’s experience, of course, predated their arrival on the scene, and she was very skeptical and one evening, during our time of sharing, expressed that she had a hard time believing it. Jack came up with an amazing explanation that made it quite simple.
Jack asked her if she believed in faxes and fax machines; he did it in a way that she wasn’t offended. When he asked if she understood the principle of how a fax works? She, of course, had to admit that she did not.
“Well none of us do either, but we’ve all used them,” Jack had explained to her, “We have two fax machines here in the house. Now then, all of us know and believe in teleporting both ‘in the body and out of the body,’ because to one degree or another we’ve all experienced the phenomena. When you feed a document into a fax machine, a copy of that document is teleported to another fax machine across the world if that’s where it was sent. It’s the same thing, Elizabeth, nothing to fear or resist believing …if you want to do it you can and will.”
Jan had sat there at the table in our bungalow and put her hand over her mouth in amazement, and then she had said something to the effect that she had always wondered about it, but had never talked about it even with Walt.
About that time, enter SPIRIT through Walt. His patented holding his hand aloft to signal he was getting something:
“You soon will all be fluent in the theories of Chaos and Uncertainty; just as you all speak in languages you haven’t learned by way of any natural means, you will know Chaos and Uncertainty and shall begin sharing with many people around the world that they need to stop trying to understand things by having their minds educated by teachers of science, because teachers of science are years away from true understanding. You will demonstrate my presence with signs and wonders never before seen. You will be criticized by the religious, yes those who profess to know Jesus, but know him not – you will know that you need not be concerned even though you are called by these: ‘The foretaste of the ‘Anti-Christ.’ Just as they know nothing about the predictions I AM has given, but think they know and understand; you will teach millions about Chaos and Uncertainty as I AM teaches these things to you and you will realize that you cannot predict with certainty and neither can they.
“Be prepared for these things sooner than you know and do so by being focused upon ME. As to your ritual with the wine; yes it is a good thing to celebrate the victory which your elder brother won on your behalf, the wine being a symbol of his blood; not because of MY demands, but because of the demands of humans for a sacrifice. You will leave this table now, released to be in physical togetherness to symbolize the divine marriage with I AM. You will be best served not to worship the act …nor be in guilt from it, you are free and you are loved; express it.”
Walt shook his head back and forth in amazement, “What a day, just one of the things that amazes me are those wonderful words SPIRIT just spoke through me. As you know I am a bit tipsy, I have never had that much wine before (which was still much less than the rest of us had consumed) and I am supposed to confess that one of the things that I have been healed of today is some judgments about alcohol. I still won’t drink all that much and I will still be the designated driver tonight, but I never would have believed that such words could have come through someone who had had too much to drink.”
“Come darling,” Jan grabbed him by the elbow; “we must be obedient to the love part of that prophecy.”
Walt went obediently, bending his head way back with a giggle and his free hand flipped back in a silly wave, “Toodle-loo, I’m being led away against my will as you are my witnesses.”
…and with that our “first communion” was concluded.

As Brad and I lay there in an “afterglow,” our thoughts went to what was to come next. He made an interesting comment that was to prove to be true. “It is coming to me that we may be doing some of that research travel that Sid apparently is willing to pay for …maybe it won’t be very expensive because I’m also getting a sense that we will tap into whatever magic carpet SPIRIT has provided and share chaos and uncertainty. Lady Love, it looks like we’ve got a lot to write and it will take revelation rather than trying to learn and understand – hmmm, maybe both, eh?”
I told him that word “both” had come to me at the time he said it. “My-oh-my, lover, we’re in for a time of new paradigms and learning. Are you excited?”
“Excited, yet with a total peace and appreciation of the place SPIRIT has brought us in togetherness.”
We sealed that thought with a tender kiss and caress.
