Moving Beyond …and How!
I really wanted to entitle this, “How to get beyond the banal faith of Christianity that expresses itself with the term ‘Christ died for me’ over to the empowering, dynamic faith expressed by the term, ‘Christ lives in me!’”
Obviously the title I wanted to use is out of the question, if for no other reason than because of its ridiculous length alone …but hold on, just a minute, if every Christian who continually mouths the words, Christ died for me, would convert the words to Christ LIVES in me, would it make a significant change?
Well, if the words penned by Paul, “with your mouth confession is made unto salvation” have any truth, you may want to consider them from the perspective that, in the original language, the word translated as “salvation” actually means “completion” …then we can at least experiment (by repeating it) to see if the truth will bear witness to bring about the impetus to “move us on from laying over and over the foundation truths, including Jesus’ death” and, instead, get Dad’s input for every little detail of our lives and no longer allow any preconceived idea lead or direct. Go NOW to Dad, the Creator of everything who loves you and wants to guide you:
“Dad, should I be saying this, that is, that Christ lives in me? How can I begin to know this is true? If it is true, I don’t want to back away from it; if it isn’t true I don’t want to waste my time. I want Your perfect will alone. Lead me, guide me into all truth.
That’s it, go direct to Dad and let Him lead you directly. Why stop short? It may be high time to move on, but not without HIS guidance and direction.
I’m supposed to stop here, God bless you on your journey.
In Freedom,
Brad

Good article. But, you know me Ryan, I have to stir the pot. In my understanding, and what I’ve come to beleive, is that Christ is a way of being, a closer conection to source (God, Allah, or whatever name you chose, I perfer Lord and Lady at this point in this lifetime). Jesus was a man that came to truly realize this and thusly became the Christ. All of his teachings pointed the direction on how everyone could become the Christ. Muhammad, Buddha, and all the others that reached this higher Spiritual Evolution taught the same thing the Christ is already there, within us, all we have to do is first realize it then find it within yourself (not an easy task). As that great Reggae poet, Bob Marley put it, “Mighty God is a Living Man.” Source is wihtin, without and everywhere, as it is everything and it’s whispering all of our names, praying that one day we’ll hear.
Thanks for stirring the pot Jymm. Your views are welcome hear, thanks for sharing. i agree totally with your expression but I fall a bit short, can you explain your understanding of the Bob Marley quote.
Ryan
Sure. Quite simply, source is everything and everything is source, so I am a part (or piece) of God. God is expressing through me as Jymm, I just don’t know that so fully yet that I have spiritually evolved into the Christ Consciousness yet. So a living man (or woman) is God and God is a living man.
Time for Brad to weigh in here… I too want to thank you for commenting, Jymm, someone could well accuse me of being in love with the sound of my own words, but the point of the article was encapsulated in the last paragraph:
“That’s it, go direct to Dad and let Him lead you directly. Why stop short? It may be high time to move on, but not without HIS guidance and direction.”
What struck me forcefully with your comment is that Dad has been telling us that he was adding a whole new and different group of people to be with us. You reflect that difference! You are an eagle and Dad is reminding me that a favorite passage of scripture of many of our current and past fellow travelers is: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” He is also reminding me that you don’t find eagles in flocks, but one by one. Welcome!
