If by doing so it Causes the Loss of the War
Let’s hone the title at the top down to a couple metaphors in two popular American Sports …baseball and football. What is the point of a player hitting a home run in the first inning if the same player in the last play of the final inning makes an error and loses the game? What’s the point of a player making a touchdown on the first play, if the same player fumbles the ball on the final play and loses the game?
Whether you think of Jesus as a “great teacher,” “prophet,” “the only perfect man” “the Christ” or whatever – we’ll leave that up to you …he said that there was no point in referring to him as anything unless you not only paid attention to what he said, but DID WHAT HE SAID TO DO! …and, one of the things he said, “There is no profit in gaining the whole world if, in the process, you forfeit real LIFE.”
We can argue all day long about whether he is/was talking about real LIFE, NOW, or in some obscure future after a proper funeral and burial; OR from another point of view …BOTH!
We need to catch the point he was making – which is that gaining anything at the cost of losing everything is a lousy investment.
At YOU WITHOUT LIMITS we say it a little differently …the point of the exercises is not to win the game of life immediately, but to set up the game so that it is impossible to lose. It is important that we get this point:
The YWL exercises are for ONE purpose: To get the conscious part of the mind of these human vehicles we occupy aligned perfectly with the other-than-conscious parts of the mind …a fully integrated mind – a concept introduced in the Brad Cullen book, Integration of the Mind © 2014 SHS Publishing Vancouver, Canada
Many people, including no few personal development “experts,” view the other-than-conscious-parts of the mind, collectively, as an obstacle to overcome; YWL took its cue from some within the science of Neurobiology …to be sure not everyone agrees with this summary, but here are the basic components:
1) The brain is NOT the whole of the mind; the brain is merely, albeit an important part, the processor of all the information being constantly sent it via, literally billions of individual neuro-transmitters which are attached to EACH individual cell in every part of these human vehicles we occupy and of which the whole of the mind contained in these human vehicles IS comprised.
2) The other-than-conscious parts of the mind are far more powerful than the conscious part, in that they can process information, again, literally, millions of times faster than the conscious part, literally, much faster than the speed of light!
3) Some neurobiologists insist that what is referred to by some as the super-conscious part of the human mind, is the part that may be connected, vibrationally, to the creative force or MIND that exists beyond the ability of the conscious part of the human mind to comprehend or understand.
4) The organ called the human heart actually processes emotional energy and information in somewhat the same way as the brain processes intellectual energy and information.
