“I Know How to Get This Done”

(Yet More on Missing the Point)

This is not that...

This is not that…

“No you don’t know how to get this done, because you believe this is that …and this isn’t that, this is this.”

If you can imagine that you just now heard the foregoing from an authoritative, audible voice you trust and which you are convinced came from “some other dimension” …could it possibly cause you to question your former confidence that you know how to do something because you’ve done it before?

The reason we so often miss the point of anything is because of the foregoing implied conundrum …based upon the psychological phenomenon referred to as confirmation bias (which is, basically, believing something is true, because we want it to be true –an over-simplification, to be sure–) PAUSE . . .

A typical Brad and Ryan conversation...really.

A typical Brad and Ryan conversation.

One hint that a person may be trapped in “confirmation bias” is when we hear her or him state with utter conviction: “I know what I know!”

I take great comfort in the statement, “I don’t know squat!” Not because I may tend toward irresponsibility, but rather that the responsibility I take is toward the stated purpose of my life, which is actively and continually seeking direction from beyond the perceptions and deceptions of the conscious part of the mind contained in this body-bag I occupy.

...

Conscious mind thinking…

The whole intent of the conscious part of the mind of this human body I occupy, is to depend upon the other-than-conscious parts of this mind and beyond to the Universal Mind, by whatever other title or name, which the conscious part can barely believe exists, let alone conceive …yet to which the other-than-conscious part is connected 24/7 (period).

Is the foregoing paragraph an example of confirmation bias? I’m not afraid to question this or anything …because I don’t know squat and I’m not asking the question of human intelligence, mine or anyone else’s, which could quite reasonably be referred to as an oxymoron – and since, admittedly, I’m transcribing and interpreting this with the conscious part of the mind attached to this body-bag it is subject to all sorts of flaws …and for me that’s okay, because I don’t trust what I write any more than I trust your reactions to it …whether seemingly positive or seemingly negative.

This is what it is and is self-contained – apparently there will be more to come in another segment.
