Don’t Miss the Point!
(And it isn’t religious . . .)
Best friends forever.
There has been a tension among certain religious groups for as long as I can remember …and it still exists to this day. I can share only my experiences which are not the same as the experiences of others.
My experience began when I started to consciously desire to have a greatly increased amount of faith; the kind of faith that brings about physical healing and other seemingly miraculous occurrences.
I associated this find of miracle-producing-faith with “receiving an ever increasing amount” of what I thought of, and expressed back then as, “God’s own Spirit.” As I began to openly share this desire with others I was somewhat taken aback to find that my point of view was not only not shared by some, but actually brought about pointed argument.
I want more and more and more….
That argument focused on a thesis that each of us already has all of the SPIRIT within us. Well, at some level I knew that I could lie to anybody else, but I couldn’t lie to our SPIRIT-PARENT (by whatever other title or name), so I began to vocalize my desire in a different way: “Help me to be increasingly aware of YOUR presence and power.”
Those who have followed what I have written for the past thirty years have heard true stories of literally hundreds of “miracles” that have happened during this crazy journey of “faith.”
What just came to me is the memory of a woman who had been pronounced “terminal” by her doctors …a large tumor in her brain, totally blind; she had not been able to walk unaided, for six months. …Hospice had already begun preparing her and her husband to transition into a “peaceful acceptance” of her death – she was being visited daily by Hospice assistance for such things as bathing.
Is it time to see the light again?
An hour after I was introduced to her, she was on her way (unaided) out the door, onto her front porch while her husband, daughter, two sons-in-law and I could hear her exclaiming, “I can see, I can see, look at the beautiful stars!”
She disappeared for almost an hour, to walk …what later was proved to be almost two miles. She came back, all smiles and enthusiasm, but with one small concern: “Why do my legs hurt so badly?”
I laughingly told her, “Because you haven’t walked in over six months …it is going to take a little getting used to.”

So that my point is not missed here …I did not heal this woman! But I had found the secret to facilitating her healing and anyone else can do the same thing! What I had to learn first, however, is to get beyond the argument and how to align myself with our SPIRIT-PARENT and get the conscious mind to stop interfering so that HE/IT/SHE could do the healing work.
The arguments haven’t ended, but both the above mentioned sons-in-law, who began to believe and understand, also began facilitating healing and other “miracles” all over the world, as have many others.
What’s the point? You too, can be a facilitator of “miracles” …but you gotta start wanting and stop arguing. Don’t miss the point!
