My Eleventh Lesson

The Connection for New Direction

Conditioned Response

Or just stick with your conditioned response to everything.

Let’s start by looking at how we’re conditioned to believe any particular thing is true, when it really is NOT true; then perhaps we can get a good look at the reason for needing new direction from a source outside of the part of the mind that has been conditioned to believe something that is NOT true.

How many of us believe a lie simply because we’ve never been shown the truth? The answer to that question is ALL OF US! Which has led to all sorts of foolish assumptions that education and knowledge are the cure-alls for everything, are they?

There are two answers to the immediately foregoing question; BOTH yes and no …it all depends upon where and how the emphasis on knowledge and education is placed.

Based on any number of indicators, the educational systems in the U.S. are badly in need of a different emphasis. Could it be that a major challenge, as with so many other systems operating in the U.S., is the emphasis on the presumed need to ascribe blame for the system’s lack of efficacy?

One size fits all.

One size fits all is a model that only works some of the time.

Is it possible that the focus on determining blame might be far more productive if the goal was not to punish those adjudged responsible for the failure of the system, but rather to bring us all to the recognition that neither knowledge nor education were ever the cure-all answers to the ills of society?

Last time out, in my tenth lesson, the following was introduced:

The Supremely Connected Mindset

I have ten men living inside me that most people probably think of as “dead” which doesn’t allow them to consider the power of these LIVING INDIVIDUALS as a group, joined together with my conscious “self” and MEGA-me the leader of all those facets in the entire nervous system of this body-bag I occupy and of which the entirety of the subconscious and unconscious part of the mind is comprised. This group, therefore, has twelve members.

Is it time for you to be in the light?

NOTE: I wrote something  that I filed under the label, “How to BE the LIGHT,” and which I uploaded to publisher Ryan Bruce with a note that I had no idea who the target audience should be – that answer just came to me loud and clear, from the referenced group of twelve, whom I dare to call, The Supremely Connected Mindset. Anyone who specifically requests it! Simply fill out the form below and it is yours.

The reason I am re-inserting the foregoing in my eleventh lesson is that I believe How to BE the Light, while NOT being a cure-all for the many perceived ills of society, in general, but for an individual who wants to be empowered to accomplish the extraordinary, it truly can be an introductory EYE OPENER! Click Here; How to BE the Light and take a second to read the report.

All of us learn differently, therefore, attempting to meet the needs through a one-fits-all education system is pre-destined to fail for students whose learning type doesn’t fit the system.

Old knowledge is continually being replaced by new knowledge, based on more up-to-date data, gleaned through discovery and research. Unfortunately this means a lot of folks are stuck believing in knowledge that is simply no longer true.

Any form of specialized education tends to conform to the philosophy and belief system of the individual instructor, therefore, what we may assume to be a superior system may well NOT be as uniform as we thought.

I “lifted,” with a minor bit of editing, the following off the Internet …a sales pitch for, what in my mind, is a bit over-long and over-complicated system of “self-improvement:

Skeptics are welcome here.

Let’s ask two questions that will lead anyone seeking a determinant truth, to come to the realization that knowledge and the system of education for imparting it are limited, even if the system meets some standard of “excellence.”

First question: Did you know that with just a little practice anyone can enter a state of mind that improves human capability… a state of “heightened awareness,” where many things almost universally considered impossible have been proved to be totally possible and, again, by anyone, regardless of their level of intelligence or even emotional stability?

Second question: Did you know that the primary criterion for somebody to reach such a state of “heightened awareness” is to simply a willingness to believe that it might be possible? Honest skepticism is not only allowed, it is a primary component of the process.

The following is an interactive example of the latent power of the human mind: First, suspend your natural disbelief, just for a moment, while you try this exercise. It’s easy and everyone can, do it. It will only take a few seconds.

Is your mouth watering yet?

Now, take a deep breath, relax and clear your mind; now use your imagination and try to clearly picture this in as much detail as possible:

You have a bright yellow, ripe lemon in the palm of your hand. Rub the skin of the fruit with your hands. Feel the texture. Smell it. Now pick up a sharp knife and slice slowly through the lemon. Juice squirts and runs out of the lemon onto your hand. Put a drop of juice on your finger and touch it to your tongue. Is it terribly sour?

For most people, just a simple little exercise like this will cause their mouth to water. Does it work that way for you? If not it only means we have to approach it differently for you.

Doctors, however, will tell you that mouth-watering is an involuntary reflex of the autonomic nervous system. Or, to put that in layman’s terms, you can’t physically control it. However, you can use your imagination to think of lemons… and that will do the trick.

[end]

Learning to more effectively use our imaginations is one key to the door of new direction; when we open our minds enough to allow us to use this key in the lock of the door to an infinitely more powerful SOURCE …then we have what supersedes any humanly devised system no matter how powerful, including any product that Ryan and I have developed.
