What Jesus Is Teaching (Me) Today – 16

How Do You Know Which Truth is Your Truth?

Isn't this the Source of all information?

When I admit that “I Don’t Know Squat,” It is merely the first step to getting in touch with and, thereby, accessing the SOURCE of all information for NOW, this moment.

When I insist that “I know what I know,” I am relying on knowledge from not NOW, but what was given to me in the past, perhaps by the very same SOURCE.(?)

Does this seem confusing? Wonderful! Perhaps that will create in some the urgency to do something about it. We can either choose the well worn path (otherwise referred to as a rut) or we can ask the SOURCE, what now?

It is at this point that Brad Cullen relies on something Jay said so clearly in the original language (not muddied up by attempts to translate it into many different forms of “understandable” English and whatever other language that dilutes the original meaning; and is confirming right this moment) related to demanding to receive more of “God’s own Spirit”* and keep on demanding to receive UNTIL we get more …and we will get more – for this eternal NOW moment …that’s the promise and I believe it!

Be prepared to receive when you ask for more.

* It is at this point that confusion will reign if we don’t stop to realize the reason I felt compelled to put the quotation marks around “God’s own Spirit.” Said, Jay, “God is SPIRIT and those who worship Him, must worship Him in spirit and truth …viewed in this context, my term, “God’s own Spirit,” is a masterpiece of redundancy – what helped me to get beyond the confusion, engendered by my own preconceived ideas, was to word my demand thusly – “I want ever-increasing awareness of YOUR power and presence” …and every time I feel disconnected I take it as a signal to make the declaration and continue to make the declaration over and over UNTIL I am more aware of the presence and power of our SPIRIT-PARENT speaking through many voices in many dimensions to the point of receiving what HE/SHE/IT is speaking I AM through me.

Continuing on in this vein: In the same passage, Jay had also said (and is still confirming, now) something that is completely contrary to what so many seemingly learned teachers of religion spout. What Jay said (past) and is saying (present) is that we can trust our perfect SPIRIT-PARENT to make sure we don’t get a “false” or “evil” spirit if our determination is tuned to get HER/HIS/ITS will and purposes and not our own preconceived ideas.

Come on Brad, you've never heard of sibling rivalry?

I’m now being prepared to share: What Christianity, Islam and Judaism have in Common with an old theme of mine and you can now determine if you’re ready to receive it:

Some within all three religions make the claim of having the same father …Abraham – if this is true, what causes such intolerance, hatred, violence and even war and murder, among and between so many adherents of the three religions referenced, toward one another?

I have posed one very unpopular answer why none of us seem to be able to communicate and express love with one another in a continuum that unifies us all.

It was the “Lord” that stopped communication and if you refer to God or Allah as the “Lord” or one of the Gods of the Vedic Scriptures as “Lord” as many do …here’s a bit of the Old Testament in English that may surprise you:

11 Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. 3 Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. 4 And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”

5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. 7 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. 9 Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.

Who tore it down? The Lord? What's he got against us?

If you have longed for unity among members of your own church, mosque or synagogue and wonder about the reason it seems impossible to attain, is a possible answer that the Lord has made it impossible? I didn’t say this; it is recorded in Genesis chapter 11. If the Lord has made it impossible to communicate for the purpose stated in the passage, that is, to keep humanity from uniting and being able to create anything seemingly marvelous, TOGETHER, and you are working toward unifying any part of the race, is it possible you are going against the intent of the Lord? I’m not posing this as a point of view, but a question.

It may also be interesting to look at something objectively for a moment. All three religions referenced have an emphasis on a singular supreme being …one and only one – if this is true, then what’s up with verse number seven above? “LET US GO DOWN AND THERE CONFUSE THEIR LANGUAGE THAT THEY MAY NOT UNDERSTAND ONE ANOTHER’S SPEECH.”

Something about which many of us need to have a clear understanding …or some might simply pass off as, “we’ll know the answer in the sweet by and by.” Which point of view, do you prefer? Or is another point of view possible?

As for me; I don’t know squat!
