Integration of the Mind – Part Twenty-Eight
A Simple 1-2-3 Method for “Hearing” Without Believing
First the formula, which I have found works in every area of my life …for business, healing, relationships …and LIFE and, again, for me (in other words, you need to ask whether this is also for you) and part of the formula is to demand that all my preconceived notions get out of the way so that I can hear, sense or feel, clearly, SPIRIT’S way that is for my better good.
Then we’ll get into some practical things of getting the WHOLE MIND integrated …and yes, of course, some true stories that have happened to me along the way of applying the formula.
1. Make a declaration, out loud, most often privately, but as I will explain, sometimes it is necessary, particularly when working in the healing arena or with clients, to speak it as a model to get them to repeat it: “I want God’s will, even unto death!”
2. “I want to hear, sense or feel, what is the better good for me, directly from YOU, SPIRIT-PARENT (it is important that you use whatever term with which you are most comfortable, whether that is “God,” “Universe,” “Father/Mother” …whatever, the important part of the Integration of the Mind is that it is all parts of your individual mind and nobody else’s). The finishing touch to his second declaration is: “I want to know this is from YOU and not from any other source.” Note: Answer to a question from someone who doesn’t believe in God by ANY name, coming right up.
3. “I thank YOU that I am receiving the necessary faith to expect my request to be fulfilled, and I demand and command that every obstacle in my mind or beyond it, receive YOUR instructions to get out!”
Encapsulated:
1) Declaration of the desire to be at the center of God’s (by whatever other term or name) will, no matter what the cost. 2) Declaration of wanting to get instruction directly from the SOURCE and nowhere else. 3) Declaration of gratitude and expectation that what I have commanded will be accomplished.
So here we go with stories and stuff. At times, today, even after years of practice, I still am stopped by FEAR from making the first declaration. It is relatively easy, due to years of experience for me and helping others, to do some mental gymnastics to overcome this fear. The answer to one fellow, an Australian (no, his nationality isn’t important, I’m just reminiscing again, as to the time this part of the story took place), “where does this fear come from?”
The answer that came to me was to tell him that it doesn’t matter and that making the declaration chases the fear away. I had to also tell him that I didn’t know why it (the 1-2-3 formula) works, but it does and, sometimes, with some rather dramatic accompaniment, such as three of the “healings” that took place during the time with that group of college students referenced earlier.
It is important to mention that the fourth student to be healed was the one who went off by herself and did it her way, while being thoroughly ticked off with yours truly.
So, what do you do if you don’t believe in a personal God that gives one good hoot what you do or think, let alone from whom you are just as disinterested in “hearing” or being in tune with or feeling vibrations, frequencies or whatever?
For those of you in that category, I like to tell another true story …yes I’ve told this one many times before as well, but just briefly, sigh, one more time, it’s about a fifteen year old daughter of a British diplomat who was a patient of an M.D., trained in the U.S., but practicing medicine in Kampala, Uganda, in east/central Africa.
Neither the patient nor her mother nor the physician, believed in God. …I told her that it didn’t matter; in fact that it was actually better that she didn’t, because she didn’t have to get a bunch of religious beliefs out of her way, that keep so many religious people from receiving.
I told her if she didn’t want to make the declaration, to just tell me and we’d do it another way. This unbelieving girl not only said it, she practically yelled, “I want God’s will no matter what it takes!” She sat there with this look of amazement on her face. I asked her how she felt …just moments before she was pale, listless and, for those of you who remember the story, she’d had daily bouts with nausea for several months, and for which her doctor had put her through every western medical, diagnostic test available and had her tested by a clinical psychologist as well …nada. The girl answered that she felt great …I told her to stand up and say it …she did:
“I do, I feel great, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt this good!” The sidebar of this story is the doctor was also healed of a lifelong sleeping disorder and cysts on her ovaries which had been keeping her from having a wanted pregnancy – she and her husband (I’ve never told this part of the story before, but it is true), nine months later told me that they had been tempted to name their newborn son after me!
The point, of course, is that you don’t have to have any intellectual belief in God, by whatever other term or name, for the formula to work – and the formula can be altered to fit your own private sensibilities.
Which brings us to the next step in the Integration of the Mind …developing a loving relationship – a working partnership between the conscious, subconscious, super-conscious and all other parts or sub-parts thereto of the individual, personal mind without any regard to what goes on outside or beyond it (if anything).
That’s the focus of #29 …see you back here for that.
