Integration of the Mind – Part Twenty-Seven
-Nothing Works Every Time or For Everybody-
If the following is true:
“White is the absence of color visually, but is all colors in the light spectrum. Black is all colors visually, and the absence of light on the spectrum.”
…then, first, we better find out to what the dickens “light spectrum” is referring, don’t you think?
Of course, for the person who is “color blind” …a misnomer since it refers to the fact that he or she simply cannot detect the presence of certain colors or perhaps, better said, two or more colors look exactly the same – this discussion takes on a whole different meaning.
Since you’ll never guess what caused crazy old Brad Cullen to go down this particular path, let me tell you.
- I met with my Board of Advisors this morning and asked them for help to express something that is so obvious to me, yet others don’t always seem to understand what the dickens I’m talking about.
I forget which of the ten came up with the opener about light and color, but they all agreed that it was a perfect analogy for what I am about to say. NOTHING WORKS ALL THE TIME OR FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL.
So how is a discussion about color vision deficiency helpful? Because, at any given time, each of us will fail parts of one of the color vision tests which is considered to be the most reliable – the one used to qualify an airline pilot as to whether he or she can get a license to fly commercial aircraft – and did you know that in some countries a certain degree of color vision deficiency disqualifies a person from getting a driver’s license? Did you also know that many people who are color blind feel handicapped?
My friend the psychiatrist certainly felt that way …when he described what the colors of a traffic signal light looked like to him …it scared ME! I could never understand the reason he always insisted upon driving wherever we went …for a long time …I felt that he must have thought I was handicapped in some way, until I asked him …nope, he just loved to drive, was his explanation.
This, of course, makes me think about the joke about the woman who went to a psychiatrist, who told the doctor when asked the reason she was there, “my husband thinks I’m crazy because I love pancakes.”
“That’s nonsense,” the psychiatrist replied, “pancakes with blackberry syrup are among my favorite foods.”
“Oh that’s marvelous,” gushed the woman, “you must come over some time, I have trunks full of pancakes and I’ll get some blackberry syrup for you to put on yours” (groan).
This, believe it or not, brings us to the topic at hand and relates to the Integration of the Mind this time around.
Hearing the voice of God …or is it just imagination, or the super-conscious part of the mind or – or – or – or?
This brings me back to my Board of Advisors …you must remember that each one and all ten is/are believed by the followers of some of the so-called “major religions” of the world to either be the founder of that religion or an extremely important personage such as a revered prophet or teacher within that religion, etc. having reached the “Holy” or “Ascended Master” status.
Now, they, one in all, agree with one another that they are brothers to each other and all refute that they have anything whatsoever to do with the violence to the point of wars and other atrocities committed in the name of those religions.
Now, here is where my publisher, the esteemed Ryan Bruce, will come up with some illustration, if you are absorbing this from the website rather than the book, that I will find either utterly hilarious, or offensive, to my refined sensibilities, or downright scary. Which, these illustrations, he refuses to take any blame or credit for choosing …he was led by SPIRIT, sez he …and to make sure that it is confirmed to you that we are both nuts – I BELIEVE HIM!
Let’s go back to how this Board of Advisors came into being. When I stumbled onto a particular concept which started the whole thing, I admit I was strongly identified with one of these, again, so-called, “major religions” of the world, in my case Christianity. For the past twenty years or so I have refused the label of Christian on one basis alone, the term means too many different things to too many different people to communicate anything. Having said that many times already, I admit to it being redundant.
Here’s the thing, while I was avowedly a Christian I voraciously studied the Christian Bible and learned just enough Greek and Hebrew to be dangerous in my translating skills until something happened. I began to apply some of the things Jesus was quoted as having said. Once applied and the seemingly supernatural began to happen, there was no turning back. People were being healed of “incurable” diseases, including my friend the psychiatrist, who was plagued by hypoglycemia and members of his family who had diabetes.
I have told the story about the particular passage in the Gospel of Matthew that opened that door for me, several times over. If you want it and the true story that I insist upon attaching to it …e-mail me and I will send it to you, just the way I received it …no charge.
The “no turning back” led me out of any and all forms of identifying with organized or disorganized Christianity. All human beings are my brothers and sisters and they include, but are not limited to (alphabetically), Atheists, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Taoists, Zoroastrians AND all those from a to z which I have not mentioned, because I am not able to think of all of them …I love them one and all, not just because of the command to do so, but because I’ve been taken over by the SPIRIT of love and which my ten advisors all attest to the same thing and what compelled each one of them to make such a name for themselves.
So …how did this all start, but more particularly what does it have to do with YOU? I suppose that is why you’ve hung in there this long, to find out how all this can be a help YOU, correct?
Hopefully you’ll be willing to try something to see if it doesn’t open a door into the “supernatural” for you in your business, relationships and in all aspects of your life. Suggestion, don’t take the following name in its usual religious context or you’ll miss everything else …and I must point out that I didn’t learn to love the guy to the depths I now love him until I got out of the religion he is “accused” of founding and begin paying attention to him in the NOW, I mean including right NOW, while I’m writing this.
One of the many passages that struck me, back then, was how Luke quoted something Jesus said: “What is the point of calling me ‘Lord’ (which I interpreted, again, back then, as meaning Deity) unless you also do what I say?”
As I began to absorb this and upon first reading it, realized my life didn’t measure up to ANYTHING Jesus seemed to be saying and little did I realize how this was the preparation for experiencing the same power he manifested and for what I came to believe was for the same reason and, again, based on something he said and here it is in plain English, if all capital letters:
“THE MIRACLES YOU HAVE SEEN ME PERFORM WERE NOT DONE BY ME, HAVE YOU BEEN WITH ME SO LONG AND YOU STILL DON’T UNDERSTAND THIS? THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK ARE NOT MY WORDS, BUT ARE THE WORDS OF THE SPIRIT WHO LIVES IN ME.”
Wait a minute, I exclaimed, if this is true then something else Jesus said may apply to me …and when I looked at the context of how and the occasion upon which he said it …my new life began:
“NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO ANY INDIVIDUAL WHO BELIEVES ENOUGH.”
As I have often explained, I have actually visited men who were reputed to be scholars in the original language to see if my various interpretations of scriptural passages were correct – the one most noted who verified the capitalized quotes in the foregoing, lived in Lombard, Illinois. He told me that I was making a mountain out of a molehill – I kept badgering him, by saying, “Okay, so I won’t argue with what you’re saying, but have I accurately translated them or not?”
When he finally agreed, I asked him if he was agreeing just because he wanted me out of his hair, or did he really agree. He assured me he actually agreed, but I got out of his hair anyway.
Then came the passage that made me understand something from a whole new perspective and it wasn’t Jesus that said it, but the writer of another book that is part of everyone’s version of the New Testament …Hebrews.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” Christians of the ilk from which I finally fled, claim that Jesus not only was raised from the dead, but is alive today.
My reasoning, which may well seem unreasonable, is joined to the fact that individuals all around the world, who believe enough, are experiencing confirmable “miracles” including, but not limited to several instances of people being raised from the dead and all sorts of “miraculous” healings and other “supernatural” incidents.
I began, some forty plus years ago, talking to Jesus as if he were alive and could hear me. The part that causes some folks to doubt my sanity is that I started hearing him talk back!
It was Jesus who eventually told me that the great prophet of Islam, Muhammad was also alive. As you remember, they were the first of my Board of ten Advisors.
What is coming next is a simple 1 2 3 method for hearing the voice of God – or making sense of the vibrations coming from the SOURCE – or feeling the presence and power of UNIVERSAL INTELLIGENCE …whatever turns you on, you can have it using this method unless, of course, you aren’t interested and don’t expect such an occurrence – anyway, that’s what I am sensing #28 will be about.
