Integration of the Mind – Part Twenty-Four

Back Up to the Point the Train Got Off the Track

It's not just off the tracks Brad, it's much bigger than that!

I awakened this morning to a visual image of a large, yellow, diesel locomotive with a few passenger cars and a caboose behind it, sitting at the end of a rail siding next to an old building in the middle of a desert. I tried to make sense of it and finally saw that the train could not move forward, it had to back up to the point that it had been switched off the main track so that it could be switched back onto it and move toward its destination.

A-ha, a perfect picture to orient me toward #24 – then I really woke up, realizing that I had not uploaded #23 to Ryan yet, for posting on the SHS website. I stumbled through my morning ritual; I’ll not bore you with those details.

Here, about an hour later, I sit at the keyboard asking what now? Oops, I remember my intention of uploading the finished #23 and made sure that this was the answer to my “pattern interrupt,” what now?

Yep, I’m to upload #23 …so I go to the e-mail program to attach the file and send it to Ryan – and the following ad had somehow crept past my junk mail filter is staring me in the face – I’m about to delete it, instead, I get a definite nudge to read it:

Why just want it…when you can HAVE IT?

Why just imagine it… when you can SEE IT?

Why just attract it…when you can CREATE IT?

GO BEYOND the Law of Attraction to the LAW OF CREATION… and step into a world where opportunities manifest spontaneously. Where you align with the universe automatically; where you don’t have to wait for the things you want to come to you — THEY’RE ALREADY HERE!

Be effortless, connect with Source.

The ad was touting the program of a well known author …who recommends stuff such as the use of, hypnosis, NLP, Silva Mind Control, Yoga and any number of other tools, all of which I am usually careful to say all work and all come from the Creative SPIRIT.

Since I had felt led to say some things that could certainly be construed as negative about hypnosis in the previous two or three segments, I was wondering what, if anything, I was supposed to be doing with this particular ad. What now?

“Highlight the truth of it!”

Those words were not only clear to me, I understood clearly what I was to do with them and that is the very same things the ad was claiming to point out is exactly where we’re headed in The Integration of the Mind, that is, in fact, it is the primary purpose for it! …Helping those who want to break through into finding those things which already exist, but who have lost touch with that creative part of themselves and the universe, in which all things really are already in existence and then to be able to access them automatically and effortlessly.

Works well with nails, not so well with screws.

I am also very careful to say that my experience(s) and training are not necessarily the best route for anybody else to take.  In fact, I insist that the best route is to learn to hear, sense or feel DIRECTLY from the SOURCE. Any and all systems are only as pure as the motivation with which any individual approaches any such tool, person or system to accomplish that breakthrough.

Any tool, therefore, is perfect in the right hands. One quick simple example is a hammer – a tool which can be used by a crazed person to bludgeon someone to death. No need to add more examples …so, just as I’ve been pointing out that hypnosis can be dangerous – anyone who has seen a hammer used as a murder weapon might well remember that a hammer can also be dangerous.

The above referenced author, makes no bones about expressing the fact that his many successful books and the millions of dollars he has made were a direct result of learning self-hypnosis …can’t be all bad, correct?

STOP! I have a suggestion for you, what is far more important for you than any tool that you might decide to use is FIRST to determine if you are not merely (and properly) trained in its use, but rather to determine if it is “right” for you. If you have, as I have already admitted, a prejudice against hypnosis and I contend that my particular prejudice is based, not upon ignorance, but founded upon experience.

How do you know if it's right for you? Ask Source.

One more time, I don’t say that any tool is “bad” or “good” …the empowering question for anyone is, “Is it right for me?” The reason the question is appropriate is because (and it is not important that you believe this yet, the question itself will make you aware, sooner than you can imagine the truth of it) it aligns your conscious mind with your subconscious beliefs and you will get the answer in ways that may astound you.

It is not my purpose to get you to believe or trust anything or anybody, including me, but if you already believe and trust that there is “Something or Someone” beyond you, that has your best interests or, as I like to say, your better good as, at least, part of Her/His/Its purposes, then your subconscious already has the answer whether anything is “right” or “appropriate” for you and will be forthcoming with the answer.

If you get a “no” answer, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the tool or system is not right for you, it simply means that the scientifically proven to be the most powerful part of your mind will render the system or tool useless until you work through its (the subconscious’) resistance.

How many things stand in the way of your goal?

Here’s the point and it is the most important thing that anyone can tell you, in my, ahem, humble opinion: All your efforts at goal setting, speaking affirmations, praying, meditating, or going to some expert to help you, will be of no use to you to overcome what you understand, consciously, that stands in the way of what you think, again, consciously that you want to achieve.

In #22, you’ll remember, I said, “One last thought about the “danger” in hypnosis; my personal recommendation is never use hypnosis in an attempt to cover over symptoms, go to the root cause or don’t go at all.

In typical Brad Cullen fashion, I promised that we’d come back to that in #23 …okay, so I didn’t deliver what I promised, I apologize, but here it is and I realize I’m also being redundant:

Don't take "demand...command" out of context. Ask for guidance.

I’ve been harping for over twenty-five years about the proclivity of religious people to pray for things that they believe deeply, meaning subconsciously, are not within the “will of God for them” and they “cover it with God,” by saying, after their long winded prayer, if it be God’s will, Amen, and wonder why their prayers never get answered.

The antidote to powerless praying is finding out first if it is consistent with what you believe, again, subconsciously to be God’s will, if you do believe it, then you can demand, not that God, by whatever other title or name, “give it to you,” but rather demand and command that all obstacles that you get what is rightfully yours to get out of the way and do this UNTIL the obstacles, which usually reside in the mind, do get out of the way.

What my good friend, the guy with the M.D. after his name, and on his business card also had this notation, practice limited to psychiatry, discovered is that once anyone (and that “anyone” included him and me) became clear in their minds that it was God’s will that they be healed, just as one example, the cure was almost, if not totally, INSTANT.

What we also discovered, is that people who had undergone hypnosis without getting clear about what their deeply, un/subconscious beliefs about what is and is not the “will of God” concerning them, were in deep doo-doo including what is often referred to as “psychotic breaks.”

Well, have I made it clear enough?

_______

Isn't this where we started off?

Now let’s get back to the visual image subject of this segment …a train that needs to back up to where it got off the track. If you have experienced times in your life that you knew, without a doubt, you were progressing beautifully and then BAM your progress stopped …don’t feel lonely, we’ve all had the experience, rather than go through the ups and down over and over, back up to the point at which you were side-tracked.

Sounds great, correct? So what is the best way to become conscious of that switching point? ASK THE QUESTION, EXPECT THE ANSWER. Don’t try to figure it out and don’t try to overcome obstacles that seem obvious until you have clarity about what caused you to be side-tracked.

If you never had the experience of believing that you were progressing beautifully, go back to where you dreamed about it …when did you quit dreaming that it was possible? That is the switch you have to back up to UNTIL you can get switched back on the track you want to be on to get where you want to go.

I’m sensing that I’m in the middle of one of my infamous harangues here, but I like the direction and everything in me says to keep on UNTIL somebody gets the point. If you’ve already got the point and are tired of the harangue, perhaps it is time you quit reading and DO whatever you are being shown to do.

If you want to stay on this particular track, gather up your robes and get ready for some practical ways that will help you get back to the point you were side-tracked …hopefully I’ll be mindful of the promise this time and keep it. Coming right up.
