Integration of the Mind – Part Eight

(Until This Happens, Nothing Happens)

Work together or it falls apart.

Unless and until the subconscious is in agreement with the conscious part of the minds of these body-bags we occupy we will never get past wishing something would come true and, therefore, rarely does come true.

What we need to consider is that instead of wishing …perhaps we need to begin consciously creating whatever it is we really want, which we do have the right, the power and the authority to make happen.

How do we apply this marvelous truth? We have to first believe that it is possible. If we subconsciously hold the view that something is impossible, or “wrong” nothing will happen until we get the subconscious into agreement with the conscious that whatever the issue is …it is possible to change.

Which prayer will be answered?

I was given a simple truth many years ago about the kind of praying –and used here just as an example– that always works as opposed to the kind of praying that never works …and the same holds true for “affirmations” or “positive thinking” by whatever other terms we may prefer.

I began to share what I had been given with groups all around the U.S. and found that this simple concept opened the door for many individuals to receive physical and emotional healing.

At the time, I was still accepting invitations to speak to groups at churches or other places where Evangelical Christians were gathered. This is an important note, because it deals with a teaching with which many Christians are infected. Infected is precisely the word to describe the difficulty because it is debilitating and spreads just like a fast moving disease.

Again, it is only an example, but it puts a spotlight on all sorts of other forms of affirmations or declarations that don’t get the desired results for the same reason …the subconscious rejects them as impossible, or wrong.

Prayer that works against itself.

If you’ve been around this particular brand of unbelief, you’ll recognize it immediately …they end their praying by saying, “in the name of Jesus Christ, if God is willing, amen.

What I was shown and began to share with others was to find out if something was the will of God …FIRST – and then declare it to be done and keep declaring it UNTIL it was brought into existence in the physical realm, which a study in the original language proved was exactly what Jesus was teaching …and it NEVER FAILS, for me.

This raises the question, “how do I find out if something is the “will of God?” That, of course, makes for a good sounding question unless, of course, a person doesn’t believe in the existence of “God,” by whatever other term or name.

If you happen to be of the mindset that I suffered under for many years, that of being an “agnostic” (a word that is the Greek equivalent to the Latin “ignorant” …both indicating simply that a person is in the mental state of not knowing) …and offered up the argument to anyone who tried to talk me out of it with this:

“Why should I believe the God you are presenting is real when somebody else presents God differently than you?”

That was a comfortable state to be in until I became desperate enough to want something beyond it.

Back to the question how do I know that what I want is the will of God for me …or in a more modern vernacular, how can I vibrate at the same frequency or be in sync with what the Supreme Being is broadcasting as Its desires and purposes for me?

They lead in different directions.

If you don’t believe in such a Being or don’t believe in your ability to tune in to such, what I’m about to suggest won’t work …there’s still a way for you to get there and we’ll get into that later. But if you are sure there is such a Being and you have the desire to “hear” or “get into sync” with HER/HIM/IT …so that you can receive physical and emotional healing and/or extraordinary abundance and, further, you believe it is possible and that it is within this Being’s desires and purposes to be in tune with what HE/IT/SHE has already decreed, the answer is quite simple.

Ask the appropriate question. Of course this can get a little complicated; “What, after all, is an appropriate question for me and how to I get into the zone where I can receive the answer.

Suggestion: Re-read the foregoing paragraph aloud and realize that IS one appropriate question; ask it continually until you get YOUR answer …it works for me, which does not mean that it is appropriate for you.

If, in fact, you sense resistance to it, that is most likely an indicator that somewhere, buried in your subconscious, is disagreement.

What now? Ah, another appropriate question for me; to which I’m getting to sign off until next time.
