Integration of the Mind – Part Seven

Don't let your mind overload your body...immobility results.

Don't let your mind overload...immobility may follow.

Who’s in charge here? Managing the process

Who/What do you want to be in charge of your life? The challenge with the question is in individual perception as to the makeup of the human mind. Let’s take Freud’s tripartite model of the Conscious, Sub-conscious and Super-conscious parts of the mind, and by tripartite I am using one dictionary definition of a single unit consisting of three parts.

Some would prefer that this particular model be referred to as triune rather than tripartite, which is an interesting point of view, a distinction, if you will, implying partnership among the three parts rather than how others view the mind as the three parts being separate and basically in a continual struggle with one another.

The point of belaboring this is the primary point of this series. Many of us struggle, because we’ve never become comfortable with the fact that we continually find ourselves being trapped in doing things we’d prefer not to do or being unable to do the things we’d really like to be able to do.

It also comes with wanted consequences.

This ranges from habits we prefer we could get past that we know are not serving our better good, or out-and-out addictions …which we know are creating all sorts of unwanted negative consequences to our health and our relationships. We all have them; it is called the human condition.

There is a further challenge and it relates to the term superconscious about which the Merriam Webster Dictionary edition, I last viewed, listed in the number one spot: “Transcending” (which we all know, means going beyond) “human consciousness.”

We can get into a fruitless argument about what Freud thought each of these parts meant because even those psychiatrists and psychologists who have what is referred to as a “Freudian” or some prefer to label it “analytical” orientation, differ as to application and what he “really” thought.

Does it “really” matter what Freud or anyone else may have thought or thinks?

Because I have the ability to enter a “zone” of creativity which extends to physical and emotional healing and often contend that anyone who believes enough – enough being the operative word, can also get into the same zone.

Ryan Bruce was so enamored by some of the things I wrote back in the late 1990s that he and his wife decided that they wanted to see them promulgated to a broader audience. He finally created a publishing company for that purpose and in 2010 asked me if he could also create a website that would feature the writings of Brad Cullen.

Study what? The mind not the brain.

On his list of declared projects, Ryan is still committed to produce a movie of my first novel, Leapfrog, which he has called foundational to much of what we do for people.

What Freud, Brad Cullen, Ryan Bruce or anybody else thinks is not at issue. If, we want a reference point for the triune aspects of the human mind, that will serve you and your quest for entering the zone of higher consciousness, call it; transcending whatever limits you currently feel the need to change in your own life, I am going to suggest something…

Allow the following thought to register: Studying how the mind works is subject to the opinions of a variety of both scientific and theological concepts that broadly differ and, therefore, subject to the different conclusions of the authors and promoters of each.

“Needs further study” is often a politically motivated byword of somebody who wants to obstruct what others view as progress. Further study in the mind of this writer simply allows the individual so studying to not make any personal progress in this condition often referred to as life.

This has only 2 frequency ranges, you have unlimited frequency range.

I am as guilty as anyone, of this mode of procrastination, but because I have a transcending view of the superconscious as an integral part of the human mind …meaning that it is the creative and healing “zone” referenced earlier …where I access answers that come from the Creative SOURCE Which/Who is always broadcasting and which anyone can tune into if they desire and are specifically at the frequency vibration of the person tuning in.

Getting appropriate answers requires two things: One is belief and an expectation that the answer will be forthcoming and believing that there is a SOURCE that will provide the appropriate answer …two, asking an appropriate question that will allow the answer to penetrate through to a conscious level.

Asking why something works or doesn’t work is the basis of study, and is the method employed by science and can be useful for working out certain things in the physical realm.

Just in case you missed it.

The fact is, however, I cannot explain how, what or why the healing/creative process I am presenting here works, my experience is simply that it always does. Now then, I am not in competition with those who have different processes which also work.

For example, there are those who teach and practice yoga and I have seen marvelous transformations and healing that come via the practice of Yoga. You can find a certified master of Yoga who can teach you and charge you $100, $1000 or more an hour or who gives classes free. All three get results, what works for you?

The same example applies to Reiki. My belief (which I hasten to add, doesn’t make it true) is that these healing “zones” and myriad others are from, or at least can be from the same SOURCE to which I go. All such systems including the one I employ have the same limit.

Key ingredient number 1...grab hold of it.

That limit is, if you don’t believe it – you won’t avail yourself to it, so how can it work for you?

In business, sports and many other activities in life, there are all kinds of systems to manage and measure the effectiveness of each. One management style that is highly effective for one team or business fails to work for another. Asking why that is may be important, but there may also be a better question: Is this the way for me, and if so, how should I apply it for my business or team?

If we can look at our lives in the same way, we may want to adopt the attitude of asking not only what do I want to accomplish in life, but which part of me do I want to choose to run my life – or do I want to transcend …go beyond all three aspects of human consciousness, sub consciousness or the super conscious “me” into what I refer to as the LIGHT of the presence and power of the Creative SOURCE of all.

For you, does it really matter how I approach things? What matters, to me, for you, is what works for you? In certain kinds and sizes of businesses or sporting teams, a talent for delegating is essential for success. The larger the business or team the more imperative it becomes to recognize which person has the appropriate talents to accomplish whatever and delegate the responsibility for applying that talent to the challenge at hand to that person.

My formal business management training included the philosophy that effective management means getting things done through people and that requires effective delegation and follow through.

OH...this is what the article is about...!

A sole proprietor, who has no employees, can use the same philosophy through the use of subcontractors and other businesses to help her or him accomplish the desired outcome.

Let’s start here with this question: Which part of my mind should be in charge of my life? Since I view the three parts of my mind as a whole unit, and since I look at all three parts as being powerful in their own right – I use the conscious as the team leader, who delegates by telling the subconscious to get it done, which basically runs everything anyway, to get what I want accomplished in liaison with the superconscious in concert and in continual contact with the SOURCE of everything.

That’s how I do it, that’s how I go about the integration of the mind to be in the zone of creativity and healing and living.

Ryan and I have recently decided to make free workshops and materials available through a separate website called www.lightchoiceworks.com for the purpose of helping those who want to break free of dependence upon human consciousness by whatever definition and to begin accessing the SOURCE in a way that is comfortable for each individual.

More details to come – stay tuned.
