Follow the Leader
I was struck this morning by the thought that all too often I follow compulsions …that is, I am driven by the false impressions of the importance of certain thoughts that come from a source I don’t want to follow.
STOP!
Dad, I want YOUR will! Thank YOU, I know that is YOUR desire as well, that is, that YOU want me in perfect fellowship with YOU. To be YOUR co-creator and I start that process by casting away all preconceived ideas, plans, lists, priorities and other compulsions …false leaders which would drive me down paths that are ridiculous to follow. What do I do, right now, that will put me in the perfect frame created by YOU?
“Speak what I have given you to speak. Declare these words until they repossess you so that you know I AM in you. Then come back to ME with a renewed, recharged, regenerated heart made of the perfection you are meant to be in Me and I AM in you …yes speak these words now, UNTIL you are prepared to be in MY presence to listen, hear and follow ME.”
Is God Speaking To You?
“I am in and of the will of God, YOUR presence and power are upon me. I want and have nothing else and no other thought or feeling shall have a permanent place in me. I AM!”
The foregoing words were given to me in 1996, fourteen years ago. They changed my life as I continued, for a time, to recite them several times each day. I confess that I have gotten out of the habit. Am I suggesting that you, whoever you are, speak these same words until they become a part of you as well? No! I am sharing with you what our perfect Daddy gave to me as an encouragement for you to go directly to Him to see what HE has that is uniquely for you.
What Dad is showing me is not to be in the habit of reciting words, but to habitually come to Him, moment by moment. Yes, I need these words today, right now, as a reminder of the fact that I am joined to Him …He lives in me and I live in Him. I need these words in this moment to be reminded of who I AM. I am chosen to share this experience with you, so that you, too, will walk in his presence and power (period). Find out what it is that you are chosen to do from HIM (and do that).
