What Jesus Is Teaching me Today; …Right NOW (37)
LESSON THIRTY-SEVEN: “What Am I Missing?”
You missed the point...again, bad audience, very bad.
Those are the exact words that someone wrote me after reading LESSON THIRTY-SIX …small wonder I suppose, but I wanted to scream, “You’re missing the point, bozo. You are trying to understand minutia …the details …and missing the point which is to forget the details.”
I forgive myself for such foolish, cantankerous impatience with somebody who doesn’t grasp my mental meanderings. Especially after the fact dawned on me that I had missed 95% of the audience with chapters 34, 35 and 36 (“chapters” indicating that I am looking forward to this being the book you are reading right now), realizing that she wasn’t the problem …I was the problem, thus armed with this small slice of the truth, I kindly, lovingly and patiently (well, for me at least) wrote back to the woman who, after all, had confessed that she didn’t get the point, so why did I want to scream at “HER” stupidity?
“What exactly prompted you to write these words?” I wrote.
Her terse response came back in about an hour:
“What was Jesus’ point related to 70 X 7 is still 490?”
Many things can get lost in the sea of forgetfulness.
I went to the file and clicked on LESSON 36 and read it through, mesmerized by my own brilliance at missing what Jesus had instructed me to do! I had been so astonished that I was supposed to write about the new Pope (Francis) that I had totally forgotten what I knew I was supposed to explain and the exact reason I was so impatient (and unforgiving) with this person who was shining light on my glaring omission …that is, what forgiveness meant to me back when I first understood the equation 7X70=490.
Here it is and then we’ll move on to the Pope (I guess). When I first stumbled over what Jesus had said to Peter and was amazed by the revelation it was like being immersed in a beautiful pool of pure water which was made up of love and forgiveness.
Here it is: Peter had just asked, “If somebody keeps repeating the same wrong against me, am I supposed to forgive him seven times?” Jesus response in the dilution of translation into English and missing the nuances of some Jewish tradition regarding the numeral 7, particularly with regard to forgiving then further, the transliteration from Aramaic to Greek: “No, you are to forgive him seventy time seven” a seeming simple command, but I did the math in the context of the tradition: It not only equals a command that if someone perpetrated the same wrong over and over we must forgive (remember the two words in the original language, the first meaning to “release” or “let go of” and the second meaning to “send violently away” …meant in simple terms to me that the forgiveness provided to us was INFINITE.
I AM interested that you are a bit bothered about communication. You’ve wondered about the bombshell I dropped into your consciousness about writing about the newly elected Pope (Francis) …today is the day!
Can just anyone speak for I AM? Can you?
You are about to walk into an entirely different dimension from your usual sputtering about religion. The first man to whom I disclosed My identity as “I AM” was Moses, a man, who, depending upon the historical reference you choose – that is, if you want to call either the Judeo-Christian Bible or the Qur’an of Islam, “historical references” …both make mention of Moses – or are you willing to take a giant leap of faith and pay attention to what I AM tells you NOW?
The next man who understood the identity of I AM was Jesus. Inasmuch as I am communicating to you in a “form of Jesus” * and not the human being who lived, died and lives again – even you wonder at the audacity of writing what I AM saying to you through your picture of Jesus, “What Jesus Is Teaching Me Today; …Right NOW,” do you not?
Talk about difficulty in communicating! Humans do not want to change how they think! I AM began this discussion almost 4,000 years ago to Moses – I AM, through Jesus, 1,500 years later, finally took it to a whole new level with the words, “Before there was an Abraham [or Moses or anything or anybody else] I AM!”
There are comparatively few human beings who will allow I AM to speak through them definitively and you are one of these. You have admitted to your audience that you are troubled by the lack of response to your recent writings, have you not?
Over one third of the world’s population claim to believe in My “I AM” identity in Jesus and refer to themselves as Christians; and over one half of these wear the label “Roman Catholic” …and the bright white light of my presence is beginning to shine through to you related to writing about the newly elected Pope.
What's in a name? Isn't it the actions that define the character?
A brilliant flash of light indeed! You need look no further for the asterisk (*). I felt the need to insert the asterisk to clear away any confusion as to the reference, AS I UNDERSTAND IT, here. I transcribed what I “got” in the foregoing directly from I AM who has asserted to me that people have a number of images they have superimposed upon that name, that is, “Jesus.” To review a few: “Master Teacher” – “The Only Perfect man” – “The Only begotten Son of God” – “One of the Ascended Masters” – “The Prophet” – “God” …and so on, take your pick! I have the audacity to say “take your pick” because what Jesus has been showing me is that he is appearing in the here and now as any and all these entities so that he might draw as many as will come to I AM.
What Jesus is saying to me, which may be entirely different than what he is saying to you …and I go back to an analogy I have used in the past to underscore this point. I have five grown children all of whom remember me saying things not only differently than I remember saying them, but also each of them insist that I said certain things to each of them differently. Was I really that ambiguous?
The reference to Roman Catholicism, to me, is priceless. Here I’ve been bemoaning the fact that of late very few have been responding to my articles. However, now I’ve become perfectly comfortable with the fact that what I’m writing is what I am instructed to write …those who choose to comment on what I write do so. Those who choose not to comment on (or even read) what I write do not.
I AM is saying, in the opening of this LESSON THIRTY-SEVEN, that roughly 3.5 billion people living today on this planet refer to themselves as (in alphabetical order) belonging to Christianity, Islam or Judaism all who revere to one degree or another the “sacred” writings of the Judeo-Christian Bible or the Qur’an of Islam and only a handful even recognize the term “I AM” let alone allow the VOICE OF I AM to penetrate their consciousness.
Are all burning bushes, I AM? Can any burning bush be I AM?
Here we go …who is this Moses who led a paltry few thousand Jews out of slavery in Egypt to wander around in the desert wilderness for forty years – after having the visitation from this VOICE OF I AM in a burning bush, no less, to tell them to refer to their “God” from that day further as “I AM” and only a handful even recognize the name. Now we have a newly elected Pope who is the undisputed leader of 1.2 billion Roman Catholics, almost none of which acknowledge I AM – this is over twice the total number of those referring to themselves as Christians (albeit non Roman Catholic) and, again, only a paltry few of which give honorable mention to “I AM” and I’m supposed to say something about Francis? Holy mackerel, what NOW?
Remember your own understanding that forgiveness means both releasing/letting go and sending away violently. Stop listening to those who want to repeat certain allegations of Francis’ shortcomings before he was elected the Pope. You are to forgive and forget everything you think you know about Roman Catholicism and other “orders” such as the Jesuits. Just as you have learned to live in my complete release from the things you have done in your past …it is time for a new consciousness of love and forgiveness to envelope the world and I, yes, I AM have put it in the heart of Francis to create a newness not only in the religion over which he is recognized as leader, but in the world.
Release your judgment and criticism of the ills of the past without limit and call others to do the same – my message to all is that if they want to walk in the love and forgiveness of I AM then it is incumbent upon them to demonstrate this same love and forgiveness, not 490 times, but infinitely. Capture a vision for a renewal of LOVE AND FORGIVENESS and you are to be a vocal beacon of its bright white light that I will display in my beloved Francis.
You are to revere him just as you are to revere the drunk in the gutter, who is also my beloved, the murderer on death row who is also my beloved and all others who you would presume to judge. It is true that a time will come when those of you who are chosen will judge errant angels …THAT TIME IS NOT NOW. Forgive and forget the shortcomings of the past, let these judgments go, send them away!
Who am I to make such a proclamation? The lowliest of the lowly, a “chief of sinners” – I refuse to walk away from the responsibility to proclaim it as I will and I AM now making the proclamation in the presence and power of anointing from the ONE who is beyond and above me and who lives within me. I AM, YOU ARE. We ARE ONE. I AM committed to being the change we have all been selected to envision. I receive forgiveness and give forgiveness, I AM.
