What Jesus Is Teaching me Today; …Right NOW (31)

LESSON THIRTY-ONE: Looking Out to the Wrong Field”

Ever wonder why Jesus uses so many farming metaphors?

Maintaining focus on a physical goal may seem good, but causes you to miss the opportunity which is already prepared for you in the spirit realm. In other words, by focusing on what you think you want – you miss the enormous benefits of the crop already sown, mature and ready to be harvested.

If you will change your focus so that you ask where this field is, where the crop is ready, I AM will direct you and therein, you will have abundance.

Two things continue to amaze me …one of which is that I am amazed by what I am learning and sharing here. Some of you are way ahead of me, I realize, but I’m still supposed to share both the insight and the fact that I should have “known” so many of these things all along.

Preaching the Kingdom and living the Kingdom are not the same.

I mean I have “preached” and written about the fact that if we will focus (or, if you prefer, “seek first,” that is, put into number one priority) the “kingdom of God,” by whatever other title or name by tuning in to “listen and “seek” our SPIRIT-PARENT’S direction …that abundance, including material, spiritual, physical and emotional well-being, will flow to us automatically.

I received that revelation from reading what others had said Jesus had said to them (recorded in the Bible, no less), but to have him say the same things today and having a totally different impact on me is both exciting and yet has my head going back and forth in wonderment at how dense I’ve been in not seeing the much expanded view previously.

There is a field of plenty awaiting us and to which we will be directed …and that we had nothing whatever to do with “tilling” the soil, “planting” the seed, “watering” or any of the other well-used farming metaphors. Everything is ours and we squander our energy and focus on what we’ve done to “earn” it – including supposed religious ways and means to “gain the kingdom.”

What Now?

First of all, how much do you think you are accomplishing by lamenting over what you haven’t seen before. What had already been revealed to you previously prepared you to receive what I AM giving you now. When you lament or feign humility about past failures you are simply allowing ego to say that you should have earned it instead of being grateful for what you had …which gratitude is the gateway through which more can be received. The way to stop ego from ruling in this instance is to stop and ask “what now” as you just did. Take the message I have given you to heart. Smile, from the heart and be thankful through the heart as you breathe deeply the fact that “you” had nothing to do with any of the abundance you are receiving right NOW and NOW you are prepared to receive more.

Ah, I get it! Thank YOU …and what immediately came over me is a sense of gratitude that there is much more to come – as I simply and gratefully continue to ask, “WHAT NOW?” I expect many more brand new fields, already tilled, planted and ready to be harvested await me …THANK YOU, THANK YOU, AND THANK YOU, yet again!
