What Jesus Is Teaching me Today; …Right NOW (25)
LESSON TWENTY-FIVE: “Nagging Question”
The answer to your nagging question is that you have been concerned what readers would think. Take this as a gentle correction and you will see the direction at which the harsh rebuke needs to be aimed. I AM here today to give LIFE to all who come to ME, there are many agents of an enemy who has as its primary mission to kill the bodies you occupy and steal your dependence and trust upon I AM.
One part of the “nagging question” that has been in the back of my mind ever since the beginning of this series, “What Jesus is teaching me today,” is how much of what I have been learning from I AM, with intensity, since the early 1980s, is to be replaced by a new revelation of Jesus today?
The question came to the forefront this morning when the following began to form as a piece I felt compelled to write. When the piece which will be “old hat” to some of you, was finished I did ask the question directly. Am I still supposed to cover this ground? The above answer and gentle admonishment to stop making “my” readers “god” came full force.
Are they coming after you, or just after Brad?
What If . . .
What if “alien forces” or inexplicable “spirit agents,” to which I occasionally make reference, really do exist? Now, to anyone who has followed my writing for the last fifteen years or so knows, I certainly believe they do exist. What is my purpose for bringing it up when it is such a controversial subject? The answer is because I’m being led to do so.
Because there is no way the human mind can understand the phenomena, most people would simply rather tune out when I even hint at such a thing. I don’t blame them, yet when so much of what passes for “healing” of physical and emotional disturbances is simply a matter of neutralizing the effects caused by these unseen oppressors …and to those of us who have experience “taking authority” over such things and seeing debilitating and killing diseases such as asthma, cancer and diabetes to name just a few …leave the person afflicted immediately upon the departure of the “unseen” agent, it seems silly not to consider it, does it not?
When you fight in Spirit, you must fight blindfolded. Perfect reliance on Spirit.
The answer to that question is, perhaps, “yes” and perhaps “no.” “Spiritual warfare,” as some refer to it, has rules of engagement just as conventional human warfare does. The challenge is that the weaponry involved is far different and these entities are extremely tricky – the only power they have is to lie, and do so extremely effectively.
Do I believe that all cases of asthma, cancer and diabetes (since I named these three) are caused by the lies of such “alien forces?” The simple answer to that question is no, but . . . Note: By “alien” I am not referring to some “extraterrestrial being” from another planet. Although, from one perspective, that could be one way of correctly stating it …what I mean, however, is an unseen “enemy” agent. Some more complex issues are raised by adding to the “but . . .” …every time I’ve gotten rid of one of these “unseen agents” the disease went away too.
My favorite story was about a woman who was in her forties and was bothered by chronic attacks of asthma – and lived with breathing difficulty and discomfort as her almost constant companion. A preacher I knew asked me to come over and pray for her. My standard response to such a request was then and is now: “I don’t pray for people; if you feel prayer is the answer, you pray.”
Is prayer enough? Can you fight alone?
What, then, is it that I do? Each situation is different and it takes spiritual discernment, that is, an understanding of what is really going on “behind the scenes.” I emphatically insist that what I do, anybody can do, but you cannot be “trained” to do it. The “skill” has nothing to do with academic learning, but rather a dependence upon the presence and power of our SPIRIT-PARENT. A line from an old song fits perfectly: “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.”
When a psychiatrist and I founded a non-profit organization for spiritual interaction and counseling, we both admitted that we wanted nothing to do with “demons” by whatever other term or name. We both believed they existed, but didn’t know how to deal with them. We also had come to the conclusion that so much of what passed for “spiritual warfare” on behalf of afflicted people often exacerbated the condition, particularly with regard to emotional problems.
Know what you are dealing with. Ask Source before removal.
Back to my “favorite story” …within seconds upon getting rid of the spirit agent causing the asthma and arthritis (both diagnosed and treated by physicians) that greatly restricted the woman’s ability to move her arms and neck – the onset of the asthma began when she was about four, and the stiffness and pain of the arthritic condition had begun far more recently. When I arrived at the preacher’s home, I had no idea what to do, so I silently asked and was given some questions to present to her. The answers coming out of her mouth were obviously (to me) not “hers,” but of a “spirit agent.” I was also shown what to do and did it.
The woman’s face immediately turned red and she began choking and put both her hands to her neck …and a deep, guttural, male voice was loudly saying “No-o-o-o” several times, to one of the things I had been given and had instructed her to say after me. I simply told it to get out of her and it was over in seconds. All symptoms and discomfort of both the arthritis and asthma were gone. I had occasion to talk to the preacher’s wife, who was a friend of the woman, about five years later and she informed me that she was still free of asthma and arthritis and in perfect health.
Now, mind you, I said above that “I” didn’t do anything that any individual couldn’t have done as well, if that one factor was clearly understood. That is, I am not a healer, nor do I claim any special powers, but rather depend totally upon the instructions I get from our (your and my) SPIRIT-PARENT. How I got to the point of breakthrough to be able to “hear” and “know” what is going on behind the scenes is rather simple …not particularly easy, but rather simple and entirely a different issue.
Truth cannot be found in a book, it comes from within.
One of the amusing things was the preacher’s wife who had instigated my appearance on the scene by telling the woman I had the “gift of healing arthritis and asthma” and, again, which I vehemently deny; after the “spirit agent” had been dispatched and the woman was totally free – noticeably without the symptoms of either disease, the preacher’s wife stood with her hands on her hips looking accusingly at me, said: “We’ve watched you do this kind of thing for five years now; and always before you’ve said things like: ‘I bind every spirit, you cannot communicate, you cannot call for replacements or transfer. When I tell you to go, you will leave without causing any discomfort, any disturbance, pain, odors or vomiting,’ why didn’t you say any of those things this time?” (What she was asking was why had I allowed the woman to choke and go through the pain) and to which I responded simply that I didn’t know …I had asked SPIRIT what to do and merely followed directions.
The preacher with his nose almost touching the kitchen table where we were seated said, “I know why he did it. I’ve always thought he just had faith to do this stuff and what he said was just so much mumbo-jumbo, but since he believed in it, it worked. I needed to see this to know these things are real.”
Is this the source of all your trouble?...NO, ask to know!
I asked the woman, “How does it feel that you had to experience this just so he could learn a lesson?”
“Oh, it really hurt, but I’m glad it happened, because I never would have believed it either.”
There are many ways to skin a cat, as the old saying goes; there are also many ways to overcome the effects of disease. I refuse to argue that these entities are real, especially with those who refuse to acknowledge their presence. Do I believe that all the problems of humanity are caused by such entities as described in the above true story? NO! …but every time one of them gets removed the malaise it had been causing gets removed as well. Ask “my” publisher, it is one of the reasons he publishes my books and is about ready to produce a movie about the “novel” I wrote, Leapfrog, which is based on real life events.
So, LESSON TWENTY-FIVE is destined to be neither a popular post or a chapter in the forthcoming book which Ryan insists will be published as soon as the series is completed and edited for publishing.
