What Jesus Is Teaching me Today; …Right NOW (15)
LESSON FIFTEEN: “Don’t Force It, Allow It”
What intrigued me about what Jesus gave me today …about an hour ago, is that it more perfectly expresses something I’ve been sure I had correctly, but couldn’t quite articulate in a way anyone else might understand it. It’s about the seeming dichotomy of those who insist that I am wrong on either side of what I contend is “both.” What I see clearly now, for the first time, is that by forcing or, for that matter arguing about (or for) one having precedence or more importance over the other is missing the key issue.
When you see the direction to which you are being guided by I AM in any specific situation you need not, you must not, force it, but allow the direction to unfold. Making the declaration “I AM” as your identity is valid only when I AM is in control. What this means is that you have all the authority and power to overcome any adversity when you are seeing or following I AM in the situation; when, however, you are declaring I AM from a vacuum that is emanating from feelings of emptiness or even desperation, you are not allowing the presence and power of SPIRIT to dominate, but are caught in wanting what you are sensing, at that moment, that you don’t have.
Oh my, what’s ringing in my head is the distinct memory of being bewildered by: “Why hast thou forsaken me?” It now makes total sense to me and, which it never has previously. Was it an interpolation by the Gospel writer, in the sense of the following part of a dictionary definition?
“Inserting (words) in a book or other text, esp. in order to give a false impression”
I’m not taking any position, but I do feel compelled to ask the question …and further to insist that I am doing so in the presence and power of I AM and now shall add: Do you get it? (as a taunt to consider the implications) – likewise without taking a position.
Not surprisingly, I’m being nudged to leave it at that for now …hmmm – another rather brief chapter.
In Freedom,
