What is the ESSENCE?

I’ll never forget the night a man asked me a question. His wife had just been healed and he was still overwhelmed by the entire experience. When I had arrived a couple of hours earlier with his daughter and son-in-law …his wife, a sixty-seven year old woman had been totally sightless – BLIND; she was unable to walk under her own power. Hospice was coming in daily to help with her bathing and preparing them both to accept her impending demise. Her primary care physician had told them she had weeks, at best, to live, and this opinion was backed by second and third expert opinions – the cancer had gone too far. She had not been able to walk for several months.
Two hours later she had just returned from walking about a mile and shouting at the top of her lungs that she could see… and she could see, perfectly. Her husband asked the same question so many ask because they miss the essence of healing power and spiritual healing.
The Question is: “Since this can happen to anyone why can’t you just go into the hospitals and heal everyone?”
This was a sincere, honest question from a man who was totally amazed at what had just transpired. There were several witnesses to this incident; several relatives, friends and neighbors came to a point of intensified belief and trust in the ultimate SOURCE of everything over this incident. They were forced to… they couldn’t deny it. She had been dead for all intents and purposes, but now she was alive.
There is joy in restoration
Please, dear reader, understand why I am not going to spell out any specifics here. She isn’t YOU. What is for you is for you and there is no point in talking about somebody else’s experience. Are you missing the essence? Suffice it to say that several doctors had been involved and had verified, confirmed and given their second, third and ensuing opinions… this woman would soon die …her condition(s) irreversible. She was consigned to those who usher in and teach people to die peacefully.
Those who know me know that I insist that I have no special gift of healing. Anyone can do the same thing… exactly what Jesus promised and in the way he promised it! As a result of this episode the woman’s son-in-law, a computer software engineer travels around the world with an evangelistic team… doing among other things… healing. The last time I saw him, he was still missing the essence. I’m not being arrogant here… just telling the truth. I’m sure that by now he has come a long way!
