In The Beginning (18)

Are You Ready to Take off?

EIGHT

Strapped in, with my carry-on stowed in the bin above and my laptop just in front of my feet under the seat ahead of me …remembering how smoothly everything had gone this morning. The trip to the airport was relaxed and I enjoyed the scenery and the leisurely drive as the car handled quite easily.

Now the giddy excitement, was back as a flight attendant announced our final approach into Honolulu International.

Inside the terminal I caught sight of Jeff – waving. “Hey you,” he said, “any baggage besides your carry-on?” When I told him no, he just said that we needed to hurry – Roberta was parked out in the waiting zone …they had a silver colored SUV with the back hatch up and waiting – and Jeff had already insisted upon carrying both my computer case and the little bag. As he loaded them, Roberta ran up to me and gave me a hug and the so typical Hawaiian greeting, “Aloha,” (which has several meanings depending upon context and a variety of other complexities) and then, “Jeanne, you cannot imagine how wonderful it is to finally meet you.”

Brad’s just want’s to be at the beach…

Roberta was at least a half foot shorter than I. Long, jet black hair; done up in a simple pony tail, flashing black eyes that hinted at some Asian ancestry along with clear dark coloring. Roberta was gorgeous!

 “You’re tall!” she exclaimed.

“You’re short!” I mimicked and we both laughed.

“Okay ladies let’s go,” Jeff intoned in mock impatience. Roberta insisted that I sit up front to accommodate my long legs.

Roberta leaned forward, her head positioned between Jeff’s seat and mine so that we could both hear what she was saying, “Jeanne I hope you forgive us …we are playing a bit of a silly game …we invited Walt and Jan Hashimoto over for dinner tonight and didn’t tell them you’d be there. As Jeff told you we were introduced to your Leapfrog Manuscript and later to Brad Cullen’s writings through Jan and Walt. We thought it might be fun, if you don’t mind going along with it, to just introduce you as our good friend Jeanne Stockwell …and let whatever just unfold.”

Jeff was just listening with an amused look on his face as he navigated us out of the airport. I immediately told them I thought it was a wonderful idea. “Most people don’t know who I am anyway and from being back in Jacksonville with the group that has grown out of my first interview of Brad and my ‘spiritual leapfrog happening,’ I can tell you that there is no one individual person who has any prominence or has any ambition to be prominent. They really understand the oneness and unity of being part of I AM, with no other leader or teacher.”

This is what Brad is really like…really…

“What is Brad Cullen really like? Jeff asked.

“You do realize,” I said, turning in my seat so that I could face them both, “I have never met the man …and you both have to know something else,” I said, after pausing for several seconds, “Brad should be flying out sometime next week and I thought I would be overwhelmed by excitement” …I stopped again to gather my thoughts, while they both appeared to be anxious to hear what was coming next, “but what has really had me overwhelmed by excitement is that I know that the five of us meeting tonight will begin a profound new phase in each of our lives …all five of us. That, right now, is far more exciting to me than everything else.

“I mean even when I landed at the Kona airport yesterday I was excited about calling you guys more than anything else” …I went on to tell them about the generous contract offer from Destiny that I had forwarded to Brad and his obvious openness to coming to Hawaii for several months. We appreciate the serenity and beauty of the “retreat” and all that was happening. When I would ask Spirit, the response kept coming back to the five of us getting together tonight as being “ordained.”

“Yeah, Jeff told me about that word,” Roberta responded, “and how funny it seemed to both of you, but it just kinda settled in on me as soon as I heard it. Something big is coming and I am so relieved that you are sensing it as well.”

You can see how tall he is in this doorway…tall.

She continued, “When you came walking out of the airport just now, I knew that even though you may be a giant” (I’m just over five feet ten inches in stocking feet), she grabbed my forearm affectionately, to assure me she meant no offense, while laughing and showing those magnificent, bright white teeth, “compared to me, Roberta the midget” (barely five toot tall, I was guessing), “but that you are my sister in Spirit and that we will be very close, so whatever is coming really is ordained, Jeanne, and somehow you, Jan and I are going to play a significant part in Spirit’s next big move. Jeff and Walt as well, but the three of us women, different somehow …” Roberta let the words hang there as she seemed to drift off and she leaned back behind us.

“It is ordained,” in the deepest voice I could muster and loudly, but somberly just as I had said it the first time and all three of us burst out laughing.

“What do you think, ladies, shall we stop and get a sandwich or something, or head for home?” Jeff asked.

“If you can wait about 30 minutes, Jeanne, we can be sitting by the pool looking down at Kaneohe Bay and I’ll rustle up something quick to keep us until Jan and Walt get there – that sound okay with you?”

In the end, we decided to go to their house, twenty-five minutes from the airport; perched on a hillside with a breathtaking view of the bay and the Marine Air Station.

Jan led me into the spacious, guest room, which was one of those “master suite” affairs complete with its own private bath and which would be my “digs” for the next few days, so I could freshen up and I was able to make a quick check of my e-mail.

Where in this diagram is your thinking?

Brad had written that he had shared with the “group of twelve plus one,” as they had referred to themselves since the birth 11 years ago of Darlene and Jack’s son, Daniel. Through a ‘tongue and interpretation,’ he said, it was confirmed that SPIRIT was already doing a work in both Sid Wilmot and Al Edmund and what was said was that both Sid and Al would be coming out of their religious practices to follow Spirit directly. It would not be a repudiation of either Judaism or Christian Science, respectively; they both would see and understand the truth that Jesus is their Elder Brother.

Brad signed it off, with “neat, eh?” and then a P.S. that he’d see me next week and that the whole group confirmed that he was supposed to work with me for however long it took. The book we would write would be the instrument through which a new phase of “I AM awareness” would multiply rapidly all over the world.

I was filled with excitement and was about to rush out to share with Rob and Jeff. “Not now,” I heard distinctly, “I will tell you when.”
