Who said it? What difference does THAT make?

Does it really matter if he said it…if it’s true anyway?

We quote what others have said, BECAUSE

Let’s start with, “God is not a God of the dead, but of the living?” The reason it was said was to correct an error in the thinking of a particular group of people.

In fact, what set the stage were the words, “You are gravely mistaken . . .”

Does it really make a difference WHO said it, unless you know why it was said and, further, that you believe that it applies to you?

Further to THAT point, that is, if it applies to me, how might I better apply it to my own life?

First things first: The one through whose mouth the quote came, again, “God is not a God of the dead, but of the living,” supposedly was quoting someone else.

What, who or where is this Source?

Further to THAT point, the one through whose mouth the words were coming was also quoted as saying that everything he said and did was not him saying or doing …but the SOURCE of everything within him.

THAT WAS AND IS THE FOUNDATION of this article BECAUSE, once I began thinking about where the quote originated, my life became attuned to, and aligned with, a far greater purpose, BUT WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH YOU …and me?

I can’t answer that question for you, but I can share what it does for me …so where did the quote originate and why is that important to me?  The answer to that it is FOUNDATIONAL.

Recently I took on the responsibility for being the chief executive of a company at a time of my life (I’m 88 years old) when most people believe I ought to be retired and probably ought to just shut up.

Well it depends on what you’re saying.

I also believe deeply in my friend’s vision, which stated simply, is helping local companies that serve their customers benevolently and beneficially, thrive via his company effectively promoting their businesses at the least possible cost and on a results-guaranteed basis.

I’ve done a lot of deep soul searching before and since I made the decision to accept the offer. The reason I accepted the position, is because I believe deeply in the integrity of the co-founder of the company, who has been a friend for over fifty years.

How did he persuade his Board of Directors that I was the best man for the job? He told them that I was the most honest and effective sales and sales training guy that he has ever known. When I finally accepted the offer, he put his thoughts into a press release that has appeared in over 500 news outlets around the world, including USA Today.

Brad’s actions got the attention of the national news.

Post-acceptance soul searching has been focused on my own purpose …and how to best implement his vision most effectively in my newly accepted role of CEO.

That’s coming up next, meanwhile here’s the link to the press release: https://classifieds.usatoday.com/press/tarver-digitech-announces-the-appointment-of-doug-ferguson-as-president-ceo/
