The End of Stress and Tension
How to get Perfect Peace
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee.”
If this 400 year old English translation from a far more ancient Hebrew text that has its equivalent in Sanskrit and even beyond to the language that some linguists believe is the original language from which all other languages are derived and began in east Africa at least 50,000 years ago is true, then in order to overcome stress and tension, all we have to do is make sure our minds stay focused on what/whoever is “Thee.”
These conflicts lead to internal as well as interpersonal stress and tension and, again, war based on cultural, ethnic, racial, political and religious issues.
The ultimate cause of stress and tension is conflict …WAR. Whether the war is all within or external, the human quest to settle the question “who is Thee” is a huge factor in creating conflict and, in one way or the other, involves differing religious, philosophical and political, as well as scientific view points.
Strangely enough, the latest neurobiological, scientific research has found that what we refer to as the unconscious flow is where “Thee” is found within, at the cellular level of the mind, which is somehow, and in a way scientists cannot yet explain, is directly connected to the same frequency of creative vibration at which the entire known universe operates.
Some scientists are even suggesting that the human cellular structure seems to be uniquely (apart from all other known life forms) modeled upon this vibrational creativity just as new galaxies with their stars and planetary systems continually come into being and die off just as our cells!
Further, that each of these cells, individually, has a mind (including memory and emotion) all of its own.
The latest research demonstrates that the human mind, and at all levels, conscious and otherwise, is actually comprised of and controlled by the cells all working in harmony to maintain this connectivity.
The question, therefore, becomes …what disturbs this seemingly chaotic, but actually quite orderly process and, further, how can each individual human mind return to and sustain its orderly, “godlike” quality of peace in the midst of the seeming chaos of creativity and renewal?
This, on an indivi-dual basis will, of necessity, be vastly different, but these differences needn’t lead to conflict if we will get over our personal needs to get everyone else to adopt our individual beliefs.
We can find the answer within the question and that is to recognize and accept that “we,” individually and collectively are a part of “Thee” By Whatever Other Title Or Name = the acronym BWOTON and keeping ourselves stayed on “Thee,” BOTH within AND beyond.
The reason we established the Brad Cullen small group meeting format was to help people of vastly different cultural and religious belief systems, learn to share them in ways not to incite argument, but to help each of us to expand our viewpoints without the necessity of abandoning our personal beliefs.
One way in which this is accomplished is by sharing what we call the four step question method of expanding our viewpoints without the feeling or pressure of a necessity to give up any cherished belief. Here are the four steps, followed by the reason they work.
Step One …Ask: “What else is possible,” directed toward the unconscious flow within and/or beyond.
Step Two …Wait UNTIL you get an answer that you know will work for you before going any further. If you believe that once is all you need to ask and expect the answer will come, perfect! If you believe that you need to keep asking until you get the answer, that’s perfect as well; then keep asking UNTIL you get the answer.
Step Three …Ask: “What now,” directed toward the unconscious flow within and/or beyond.
Step Four …Repeat Step two.
The reason this method works so effectively at aiding in the elimination of stress and tension and bringing about perfect peace is that what interrupts peace in the first place is the proclivity of the conscious part of the mind to lock onto and focus upon a perceived problem and even those who consider themselves to be solution oriented stay mired in the problem because their focus is on finding or figuring out a solution to that particular problem.
“What else is possible,” begins an entirely different focus that actually can convert any perceived problem into an opportunity just because the mind has been redirected to different possibilities rather than the problem …and getting to the vast storehouse of various possibilities and opportunities is much easier than you think.
In fact “thinking” can be the biggest obstacle
