Converting five wishes of dying men

Into Power-Living Affirmations

I’m wishing for a bar of soap…

Someone who had spent several years caring for otherwise successful men as they neared death and heard what they had wished they had done differently; and compiled this list of those wishes most often stated:

  1. “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
  2. “I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.”
  3. “I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.”
  4. “I wish I’d stayed in touch with my friends.”
  5. “I wish that I’d let myself be happier.”

Since positive affirmations have an almost supernatural-seeming effect on some people who practice them regularly, it occurred to me to convert these five “death wishes” into creations for extending LIFE.

  1. I AM so glad that I finally have the courage to live true to my purpose and not according to what others may think they want from me.
  2. I AM so grateful that I’ve been shown how to tap into universal ENERGY so that all work is like play to me.
  3. I AM so thankful that because of deep-breathing, in-the-moment-Mindfulness, expressing my feeling with love and understanding just comes with the flow, simply and easily.
  4. I AM so grateful that my friends are ONE with me and, therefore, we stay in touch naturally.
  5. I AM so grateful that happiness has become an effortless and constant state of being in the flow.

RATHER THAN DEATH, CHOOSE LIFE!
