Making sense out of “Walking with God,”
Why should anyone want to do that?
Why indeed? If I’m willing to get my clues from an ancient text, a number of things become apparent. Most importantly, for me, was to realize that reading about “walking with God” or listening to others intone about walking with God or arguing about what the term means, both literally and figuratively, may whet my appetite, somewhat, to experience for me, what “walking with God” may be all about in real terms, which results in: ACTUALLY WALKING WITH GOD – whatever that really means.
If it is, indeed, possible, what are the benefits? The ancient text and the clues to be gained there from is a drum I’ve been pounding on for many years. The text is quite clear; however, if you don’t believe God exists, “walking with God,” whatever it means isn’t going to happen.
If, on the other hand, you do believe in the existence of God, how do you get started on walking hand in hand (so to speak) down that path and what are the benefits?
Again, according to the text, one of the primary noted benefits are that you never have to go through the process of physical death; when it’s your time, presto; you’re translated, into being instantly with God, but wait, there’s more:
You can even begin experiencing that parallel dimension in the here and now and here’s what I mean by “walking with God” …having a step by step, intimate relationship with my closest friend whom I prefer to call our SPIRIT-PARENT.
How each of us arrives at the place of an intimate, personal relationship with the SOURCE is individual and deeply personal and, also, unique to each of us.
What now? If you either believe it is possible, including the primary benefit noted above or you want to believe that having an intimate personal relationship with our SPIRIT-PARENT is possible for you, I have a special invitation for you: A private, confidential conversation with me or even better you can go directly to our SPIRIT-PARENT.
I assure you that you don’t need any human being to act as mediator; I’m being instructed to make the offer just in case you’d feel more comfortable starting with a brother.
Now, I want to give you further assurance, this is not religious, I’ve had these private, confidential talks with people with every religious and even anti-religious background you can imagine, none have been offended and many have leapfrogged way ahead of me to have fascinating, meaningful, direct relationships of their own.
