How to Tap Into the Power Within 2
…For Outward Abundance
Step Two
Well, I was just “thrown a curve” – I’m to start with conflicts. Let’s start with something I was given to write in the “How to counsel in the power of the Holy Spirit” workshop syllabus over twenty years ago …and with which I opened almost every time I shared with mental health professionals in a training session related to dealing with the “real” cause behind MPD – again, Multiple Personality Disorder.
“There are two things to remember:
1. “Therapy (including ‘counseling’) is never the answer when you suspect that an external “spiritual” influence might be the root cause.
Note: At the hospital, referenced in the previous chapter, remember, all the staff responsible for treating patients with MPD, including a clinical psychologist, several psychiatric nurses and some psychiatric social workers were already convinced that some external ‘evil presence’ was at work rather than a mental or emotional disorder.
Of further interest, only two of the 26 primary treatment staff, the clinical psychologist and one Jewish psychiatrist of the total of eight who had admitting privileges at the hospital, were not avowedly ‘Christian’ in their orientation.
It was the Jewish psychiatrist who first stated that he sensed an “evil presence” around MPDs and always insisted that his patients were situated nowhere close to a patient diagnosed with MPD; he was also quite vocal in his opinion that the diagnosis should be discarded. He told me with a grunt that it was “poppycock.” I agree, but from an entirely different perspective.
2. “Generally speaking, there is no therapy-method superior to another; there are only people (whether dealing from a ‘patient’ or ‘client’ model basis) who are strongly motivated to get past their emotional/mental challenges.
This from the FREE on-line medical dictionary:
Multiple personality disorder, or MPD, is a mental disturbance classified as one of the dissociative disorders in the fourth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV). It has been renamed dissociative identity disorder (DID). MPD or DID is defined as a condition in which “two or more distinct identities or personality states” alternate in controlling the patient’s consciousness and behavior. Note: “Split personality” is not an accurate term for DID and should not be used as a synonym for schizophrenia.
Conflicts: I have noticed, in dealing with people with resistance to healing or, another way of putting it, those people with persistent or recurring maladies, a conflict was almost always at the base. Part of them wanted to get well and a part of them didn’t because of “hidden” benefits.
I began to apply the same rule to myself. Instead of asking “why” I was going through any particular emotional or physical discomfort, or coming up with plausible reasons for it, I went to Daddy/Mommy/Spirit, our Healer within, and asked to be shown the conflict.
It was this practice that brought me to the conclusion that I needed to know my primary purpose for living and when I was debilitated from any illness I began asking about conflicts related to how I might be violating my own chosen value system related to that primary purpose.
“Tapping” has brought this even more sharply into focus in many ways which I hope to share as we continue progressing through the steps; as I feel I am led to share …one thing in particular I am supposed to share here and right NOW, though “confess” may be a more appropriate term: Tension, stress, specific fears and anxiety, are indicators I am out of sync with my purpose, in fact these four INTERFERE with my primary purpose.
My adopted primary purpose is to be in a close, continual, personal relationship with our SPIRIT-PARENT resulting in experiencing total abundance and “extreme faith” – and if you have read much of Brad Cullen “stuff,” you know that by “extreme faith” I mean crazy sounding (to some) things like experiencing the “kingdom of heaven” NOW and within me, just as Jesus introduced it (“…don’t listen to those who would have you look here or there for the kingdom of heaven, for it is within you!”) …instead of having to go through physical death, to get there!
“Pounding” (more of following what Jesus had to say) has got me to this point. The reason I am so excited about “tapping” and sharing it from a place of co-learning with you is that “tapping,” to me, is merely an enhanced version of pounding.
Instead of it taking many hours and sometimes even days and weeks to get to a place of clarity, as I sometimes have taken via “pounding,” “tapping” has greatly sped up the process …and I want to say this emphatically: ALL WITH THE SMILING APPROVAL OF DADDY/MOMMY/SPIRIT!
While some of those teaching their own versions of “tapping” insist that you don’t have to believe in it, one clinical study I read claimed a 76% success rate in glowing terms – I’m snorting with my usual impatience with such, because I KNOW that the other 24% most likely didn’t believe enough to PERSIST until they too reached success.
Is “tapping” for you? Well, let me share this with you. I didn’t believe it was for me until I went to our SPIRIT-PARENT and demanded to know by saying I only wanted Her/His/Its desire and purposes (“will”). Per usual I am urging you to go directly to our SPIRIT-PARENT to get your own answers for YOU.
I could not begin experiencing any relief from the symptoms I was going through recently as a result of stress and tension, caused by conflicts, until I got clearance from Daddy/Mommy/Spirit that “tapping” was, indeed, for me and that I should share my experiences.
Without comment or further adieu I give you these two video links sent me by Ryan Bruce which started me on my “new” path. These are only two of almost 600 videos of this particular practitioner Robert Smith – and there are literally thousands of others.
