The Door, the Solution
Sometimes your thoughts are just too tangled to break free.
“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” –Albert Einstein
There are a number of ways we can look at the foregoing quote and even look at some of Albert Einstein’s achievements. Here’s just one simple example: Uncle Al ushered us into the so-called Nuclear Age with quantum mechanics.
From the point of view that this has brought us to the brink of extinction, “achievement” may be over-stating it just a bit.
The result is not the man, the result is a consequence of tangled thinking.
Not blaming Uncle Al, mind you, for all the lunatics making and selling nuclear weapons; nuclear, after all, could be used solely for peaceful purposes; the greed of mankind, however, has pretty well messed that up as well, but the monster is already out of the cage and here we are without a clue how to face it down, let alone defeat it. Creating more Frankensteins is not our objective!
In my country, the “good old” US of A, we’re locked in a ridiculous political struggle between things the way they’ve always been and getting worse and the kind of thinking that says let’s go back to the way it was, as if that was far better.
Either way, the blind are still leading the rest of us, who are also blind, closer and closer to the ditch, trying to solve problems with the same kind of thinking that caused them in the first place.
Shall we head in the direction of “woe is me,” or can we set our minds on a different way of thinking to produce different results?
Is one of these politicians the best for solving problems? Or just different?
First of all, can we begin to admit that “Liberal” and “Conservative” or “Progressive” and “Regressive” are labels, which in the ultimate scheme of things, change and do little? Black and white filters add to the confusion.
Supposed rational and logical thought processes have brought us to this point in history. Our challenge is to face the fact that “rational” and “logical” have brought us to the place of abject lunacy. It is time to renew our minds.
C’mon, can you admit that your favorite candidate can no more fix the problem than can your most hated one, no matter what the label, gender or race of the candidate? These Donkeys and Elephants are the beasts which are incapable of lifting any burdens.
Behind the door is where your answer is.
Politics as usual, or as unusual as you can possibly get, are not going to solve the problems of humanity; neither is “doing nothing” the solution; lamenting that “Somebody’s gotta do something” has simply led to more empty political solutions which are actually illusions.
There is a way, but we have to be willing to open the door and walk through it, but how many are willing? Soon, unfortunately VERY SOON, there will neither be a choice nor even a door.
Those who are ready need to find the door NOW; the challenge is that door is unmarked because it leads to where few men and women have ever dreamed was even possible.
Just becuase you have been invited in, doesn’t mean it’s easy to pass through.
You cannot enter the door with any ethnic, gender, political, racial or other human label attached to you, so get rid of any smugness you have which is based on any human factor including, but not limited to intelligence or knowledge either.
NOTHING can prepare some to enter this door except a pure heart and open mind. The key may well be to approach the door with discernment rather than judgment; otherwise it may be useless to even bother to knock!
