“Start Your Engines” (or)

Take Your Rightful Places

This means you...BRAD! Don't come near our beliefs!!!

This means you…BRAD! Don’t come near our beliefs!!!

“Hey Brad, what do you believe about . . . ?”

For well over twenty-five years I have ranted in print that any individual who believes enough has a destiny that far surpasses anything most people are able to imagine.

The reason that believing this destiny is for any individual is so challenging is the religious programming to which many of us have been subjected. Let’s start this off with a quote many take for granted is true, but actually is a lie – from a variety of different points of view.

This is what perfection looks like...to some.

This is what perfection looks like…… to some.

“There was only one perfect man.”

How many times have all of us heard this posited as an excuse for a failure or mistake? It is, however, one point of view. Another point of view is from the position of worship and reverence of the man as a unique God-become-a-man deity.

Then, of course, there are those who deny his deity, but insist that he was a great prophet, teacher, etc.

Some religionists argue that it is impossible to call him great anything; this on the basis that he was either what he claimed to be, that is, God or that he was a charlatan or had a mind bordering on that of a poached egg and you can’t have it both ways.

Come on Brad...surely he didn't say that?

Come on Brad…surely he didn’t say that?

Drawing only upon what the man himself was quoted as saying, if we take it literally (and why not take it that way, rather than twisting the quote into a kind of reverse psychology or other double speak) the argument for deity based on his own claims loses steam, here it is:

“Why do you call me good? Only one is good, God.”

Lest we forget, the man also made it clear that anyone who believed in who he was and what he did, could do and be the very same. I’ve spent the past twenty years sharing chapter and verse where these statements can be found.

Thou shall have no other gods before me.

Thou shall have no other gods before me…(except Jesus).

In other words, instead of focusing on what the man said each of us could and should be and could and should do; the culture that has not only made an icon of him, but ignores what he said any individual could do in order to be and do exactly who he was and what he did.

I’m asked frequently what I believe about any number of issues. Regardless of the motive I discern is underneath the question, I almost always insert this question in my reply: “What difference does it make what I believe?”

Sometime within the past few days, when asked what I believe about Jesus, “What difference does it make what I believe” was my only response.

I believe many things which don’t mesh well with mainstream human thought about anything. For example, Jesus lives in me and has brought several others into my life, with him, to help me fulfill my destiny.

Equals in truth or just in Brad's mind? Does it matter?

Equals in truth or just in Brad’s mind? Does it matter?

The first shock came with the first individual he brought with him; the Prophet Muhammad, yep, the same one who wrote down what the Angel Gabriel dictated which produced the Qur’an.

When Jesus introduced him to me it was to tell me that Muhammad was alive and that I needed to treat him as an equal to Jesus meaning a close friend and elder brother; the others were far easier to accept as close friends, brothers and advisors after Muhammad, because of my earlier judgments related to Jesus being “the one and only Son of God.”

Is/was Jesus unique? In my own life that had been an inescapable conclusion …I had demanded, at the ripe old age of 27, that if he was real I wanted him to take over my life because I needed help.

It doesn't have to be Jesus to work. You choose your friends.

It doesn’t have to be Jesus to work. You choose your friends.

He did and he has never left nor forsaken me. I don’t view my relationship with Jesus from that initial experience of inviting him to take over my life. He has been my closest friend and guide ever since and still is.

Here’s the challenge: This isn’t a belief; it is, rather, a relationship that, as with any close relationship, has evolved on a daily, sometimes hourly basis; and when he began introducing me to the others which today totals ten, including himself, a startling revelation for me emerged. The other nine resisted equality with him just as I had. To a “man” each believed that Jesus was unique on one basis alone: Sacrificing his life willingly for all of humanity.

They all admitted with abject humility that this was something that they had not been able to even consider.

His instructions were firm; we were all to accept the fact that he was chosen to make that unique decision and had come into the human experience with that determination. None of the rest of us was chosen for that task. “It is done and to not step up to be my living equal in the now, is to reject me.”

You are invited, "once for all."

You are invited, “once for all.”

I was shocked to hear first, Muhammad, then the others make the argument about Jesus’ death as what set him apart; but one-by-one, each of us “got” it. Each of us are chosen to accomplish something unique and by uniting with him under the direction of LOVE, LIGHT and SPIRIT – all synonyms for the I AM CREATIVE POWER which controls the entire universe and which became the man Jesus first, but each of us must accept the very same mantle, as “joint heir-sons of God.”

Again, this isn’t a belief, but an instruction from Jesus and an experience which makes few friends within Islam or Christianity or the other religions represented among my internal “master-mind group” of ten.

Believe what you want, I'm walking on...

Believe what you want, I’m walking on…

What I’m assured is that it doesn’t matter what people think about what I believe, my instructions are to follow what these who formerly occupied human bodies refer to as our SPIRIT-PARENT – I AM.

So and, again, what difference does it make what I believe? What is truth, what is real, and who is guiding your life?

Before there was a “Brad Cullen,” I AM and I AM has authorized me to pronounce it and share it with anyone who has the ears to hear.
